LINKA Smart Lock

It worked for a few days now it's useless. It's a great idea but it's untrustworthy. I was sketchy about buying this lock. I should have went with my first instinct and kept my money. Save yourself the disappointment and your money. The linka team is unsupportive. They're based out of China so good luck on getting contact with anybody. The linka team or whatever will leave you hanging and your bike will get stolen. DON'T BUY THIS GARBAGE SAVE YOUR HARD EARN MONEY!

Drains phone battery. Very high gps usage, is that normal?

Crashes every time I try to open it since the latest update. Completely unusable now

So far this is proving to be a frustrating purchase. For the first several days after purchasing the lock it would not maintain Bluetooth connection to my phone and would provide numerous errors when attempting to update the firmware. I spent days talking to their customer service, following all of their troubleshooting videos, uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times, reseting the hardware multiple times, and attempting the firmware update multiple times to no avail. Even after an app update that was meant to fix the problems it took me several more attempts to reset the app and the hardware before it randomly stayed connected long enough to process the firmware update. My Bluetooth works just fine with several other devices I own so I know it is not my phone, but the Linka Lock itself that has been the issue. I am going to hang on to it for a few more days to see if the issues have finally been resolved by the firmware update because the features seem like they'd be great. However, I still have my concerns at the moment about a product that was great in theory, but has been problematic upon execution.

Idea is good, but that software is just steaming pile of... It have back ground service what hog battery really fast even software is closed. And it ask turn on and off your BT at every corner /o

Will not allow me to even create an account. Network error. So, this expensive lock is basically useless at this point.

Paired and works well with my Samsung S8

The concept is great, but sometimes lock and app stop talking to each other, so that I'm forced to enter the pin manually - time to lock/unlock is usually more than 5 times slower than my old school lock. I also had problems with the built-in theft alarm - I barely touched my bike (to power on the lock after standby) and the alarm wouldn't shut off even though my mobile was connected to it... Currently it's rather a hassle to use due to bugs in the app/lock :-(

Too often it doesnt open when I come near. And too often it doesnt close when I double press its on button. Also the app crashes every start of a new day.

This is the ultimate in convenience for cyclists. Press button on lock twice to lock. Auto-unlocks when you return to the bike. No need to even remove gloves or access your phone. Couldn't be simpler.

The only thing this is useful for is a paperweight on my desk. What a total waste of money and after telling customer service how long it takes a un-pair then re-pair to finally get it to unlock, they tell me it should not take that long. No kidding. Using an old fashion lock and chain is easier and faster that this junk.

Got to say this a PP is not that great if perm hardware update does not install and I cannot get it to install everytime it asks me to update it and then when it up and ask me updated it actually does an update it just cuts off not sure if I like this app

just ordered this for mt ebike. was actually just looking for a gps tracker for my bike to protect from theft. but since this one has that and wasnt to much over my intended budget i went for it. excited to get it!
