I like the free content, but I think that if you only get one free story, it would be cool to pick which story was free. For example, this week (3/17/17), I would have liked to hear about the statue found in Cairo versus politics. Again. Just a thought.

I'm trying to learn French and this app has been very useful. Great content, interesting and relevant. However, even if I consider myself to be appreciative of good and meaningful work and willing to pay for it, I think the subscription fees are REALLY high. You see, almost 150 dollars is not accesible for everybody (at least not for me). If you considered to reduce the prices I'd be happy to buy a subscription. I beg you to keep up your good work but also to consider my concerns - and those of other people

W70%
by W####:

Good program but its too expensive considering you don't even get daily news. The RFI news in French facile is much better and free. However I would still buy this if it was much cheaper.

You could have said something about the subscription costs in the description. Terrible practice. At least offer a trial period.

M70%

Excellent way to practice your French in an enjoyable way. Having definitions built in for some of the more difficult words or phrases is a great way to make sure I'm fully understanding. Seeing the words while I hear them spoken has to be one of the best ways to learn. This is a great app!

by T####:

I'm SO excited for this! Saw a preview on CNN earlier and am so pumped to get started. I've studied French in school but never mastered it. I can read it not bad but understanding is my biggest issue. It gets so boring listening to fake conversations like "Hello Mr Smith, how are you today?" Where as this app is real news, so it's actually relevant. I've always said I wish people that spoke French spoke as clear as the airport announcements or the one on airplanes as I can understand them pretty well since they are slow and clear, but actual French speakers talk 1000 words a minute. Not sure why people give poor reviews saying it should be free, why should it be?

Can't understand these people who think they shouldn't have to pay for things! 21st century thinkers I guess. This is a very good app (best I've found actually) if you're serious about learning French, simple as that! And yes, it costs money.

N70%
by N####:

This app is pretty good. The free content is even more than enough for any user since all previous news are available (almost 300 of them, dating back to 2011). Hope to subscribe in the near future. Great job guys

I came here for a free French listening comprehension app, not something I need to pay a subscription for.

You get a free so called app but you have to pay for all but the briefest content. A concept pretty easy to explain but they don't??? So, wasting my time by design or stupidity. Leave well alone!

T70%
by T####:

The app is free but there is a link to sign up that takss you to there website where you have to pay to create an account.

T70%
by T####:

It's a free app. There's a link for you to sign up. But you have to pay. The demo shows it's useful. But it depends if you're willing to fork out for it.

Great idea and works well but it would also be hood if you could change speeds to slow it down a bit or speed it up even if the quality falls slightly

Enjoy the fact that when you click on the unknown words you get the meaning. This really helps to understand the podcast and increase your vocabulary fast.

G70%

It is too expensive, why don't you put ads so we can watch ads then let us listen to episodes? You can make money like that too without hurting people

P70%

Decent service at a ridiculous price. What are you , achieve or something?

The website works well, and the lessons are excellent for someone with some knowledge already. As an interpreter in German, Swedish and Russian, this is one of the best ways I've found for learning another language, and wish I'd had something similar earlier. It's also a pretty cheap way of getting this degree of tuition - try evening classes for a year if you think this is expensive! Sadly, though, the app is rubbish. Fortunately, there is a mobile version of the website which works much better.

X70%
by X####:

I like the concept and the website is fine, but this app is too buggy to even use. It's constantly having login problems (telling me my login information is wrong when it's not) and it crashes whenever you try to save a lecture.

X70%

Earlier this app was very useful for casual learner. It had some free content. Now it has been removed without any prior intimation. I used to listen to it in spare time but not now.

X70%
by X####:

Love the Program. The app has some bugs: when I am driving and it gets to the Expression part of the lesson it gets into an endless loop and I can move forward or backward. I have to clear the data and reboot. Fix that and it will be a 5

You get to know the news and learn French at the same time. The word meanings are very helpful. But I think the narrators' could sound more genuine, like they weren't reading from a script

The lessons in this app are terrific, but the software is totally clunky. Sometimes it works perfectly, but often it won't let me play the lesson I want. Today it only let me listen to the Expressions sections and nothing else, no matter which lesson I selected. Other days it does something different. I paid for a one-month subscription as a trial, but until the bugs get worked out I will not be paying for more. Update. I paid for a six month subscription after it seemed bugs got worked out. The program itself is great, but bugs have come back. The program is again crashing constantly and won't start even after a reboot. I think it doesn't want you to listen to an episode you have already heard? Ridiculous.

I do not understand the pricing policies of some aps. There is such a big competition that the price for a year subscription should be much lower to attract more people. Meantime the pricing of many apps looks like there a some greedy sleazy salesmen behind. The app itself looks promising.

News in Slow French is awesome! However! This app is borderline useless and a new Android developer needs to step in ASAP. Constant bugs and crashes. The new version is worse than its predecessor.
