Yellow Cab Vancouver

How on earth this app still exist? It's pathetic how bad and unreliable it is... The live updates are highly non existent. The notifications are unreliable. It tells you there's a cab when there isn't. No way to contact the cab. It even sends you a receipt for a taxi that you presumably took although no such thing took place.. This app is a joke, and goes to show how much we need uber to push these lame lazy old folks to improve their offer

First time using the app and it worked just fine. Pick up location entry was easy. App was fast and so far I haven't encountered any issues. The only thing I would like to see is notifications coming through the app and not text message or email. Seems to me the people rating this app 1 star are those who are in a love affair with the word Uber and down vote anything that is not Uber just out of spite or hate.

A pathetic attempt to offer Uber style service. No live info or updates, I have no idea what is happening. The arrival text came after I was in the car.

Garbage. Nothing but a false sense of hope that a car is coming. App says 2 minutes and the car doesn't show up for 20.

Used to be good, now it is horse excrement. I have used it for my last 2 bookings and it tells me the cab is booked but they never arrive. Leaving me over 45mins late for my friends. Please come soon Uber

I have only managed to book a ride 2 times.. few months back.. scheduling does not work. Cannot use during peak hours..no receipt. Please give this to developers who know their job..

I thought the former app was great and I've had no problems with the company or drivers; sadly, this app uses a confusing and very unreliable booking service. When you book you get bombarded with emails and texts but cabs rarely accept requests, even when it shows tons of cabs in the area. On the rare occasion that the app connects me with a driver, they take forever to show up (much longer than the ETA). I usually end up grabbing a bus or flagging down a cab in the meantime.

Old app was great. This new app they replaced it with is straight garbage. It's so completely useless you are better off not using it at all and just calling dispatch.

Garbage app, garbage company. Estimated wait times are exaggerated. Estimated wait time 4 minutes? 30 min later still no update, cancelled and ordered a new one, estimated wait time was updated to 2 min... Still nothing, just went to the skytrain at this point. Taxi drivers are a thing of the past, bring uber to Vancouver.

Used this app in the past with no issues. Not sure what happened, but when I used it last, got no text to indicate that my booking was received. Got NO text to tell me if a cab was on its way. Called Yellow cab after 15 mins to see what was going on. Was told that it was received and that a cab was going to be ANOTHER 15 -20 mins. Yet, when I went to book it on the app it showed that there was a cab within 3-5 mins from my pick up location. When I asked the lady on the phone about that, she told me that the app shows the cabs in the area, but cannot distinguish the empty ones vs. those with passengers in them. RIDICULOUS!!! NOT so handy app if it WON'T give you the approximate wait time for a cab when booked through the app. DEFINITELY NEEDS FIXING.

I see why the ratings are so low. Unresponsive stupid app. Request a ride and get no confirmation. No message no next no nothing. Basically the same as being on hold on the phone. These taxi companies just continue to make things worse for themselves, and this is why everyone is begging for Uber

Totally rubbish. I've taken two trips and the estimated times have been way off with both. The first time the app said 3 minutes but the cab took 15 minutes to arrive. The second said 6 minutes but it took over 25 minutes to arrive. Uber and Lyft can't come soon enough.

Estimated times are a joke says 3 min but takes 30 mins , doesn't track where the cab is, cab didn't wait 1 min outside before considering a no show from my part

Today, I booked a cab within 2 hours in advance and it arrived at my workplace 25 minutes late. Therefore, this service (this app or the driver) is not reliable.

Waited an hour for a cab and received a text message saying the cab was cancelled because the cab driver was too far from my location...

The taxi mafia in Vancouver needs to end. What a joke, can't get a ride when you gotta go somewhere.

Can never get a cab whenever I book even through the app shows lots of cabs in the vicinity.

The new app makes the old app looks great. So many issues. #1. At first you like the live map that shows the cabs nearby you with 1-2 min estimate time for booking...until you realize the map must be inaccurate because most of the time you wait a LOT longer just to get a cab assigned, and even that cab is coming from somewhere way further away. Misleading. #2. Hitting the book button always says "error" at first. You can verify if the booking went through by hitting "book" again cuz it'll then stop you and let u know there is an existing open booking. But how stupid is that... #3. The notification text messages deliver so late. The "assigned and en route" or "has arrived" message usually arrives in the middle of or after your trip! So the only way of knowing if your booking went through (did I say it says "error" when hit the book button and left you in a question mark?), or if a cab has picked up your request, or if it has arrived is all just by keep refreshing the app manually. #4. The share your ETA button don't work. Messaging ability is crucial(and was functioning with the old app) for condo people cuz you lose the phone reception in the elevator on the way out and sometimes the cab just leaves when the arrival call doesn't go through. #5. It keeps defaulting your current location to somewhere ridiculous.

The map feature was buggy and wouldn't work. Couldn't select a pick up location

The app itself is currently not working. Will not accept phone number. Will not open fully.

Just tell me the name of the owner or whoever runs this company..I'll shove a stick in their asses. Fuckards !!! Bring UBER UBER UBER !!!!!!!!

I used this app one time, and it worked for me. I installed and tried all Vancouver's taxi apps. This was the only one that worked.

Booked a taxi on this never came.. Can't call the cab company to find out where it is. DO NOT BOOK

This app is so much worse than the old version. I was unable to get a cab both times I've tried it. I used to exclusively use yellow cab when their old app worked. Now I resort to the old method of calling the cab company. I tend to call black top first now due to my frustration with this app

Awful app. I thought this was a great idea till I tried using it. No updates, live tracking doesn't work, takes forever to get a ride accepted. Bring on UBER!!

This app is horrible and there is a huge lag when viewing the GPS. Cabs will drive past you even when the lights are on. It is difficult to tell if your order was accepted by a driver. Don't waste your time on this POS app. I hope UBER will take all the business. UBER is more efficient and more reliable.

Not a terrible attempt as an app, yet its rendered pointless if the real life support its non existent. You ask for a cab it will almost never get there, while you see yellow cabs pass by empty, you will keep waiting until a McClure cab or other passes by so 30 minutes later you are on your way, or if you have no patience you have already arrived walking when you get a notification that the cab its on its way. We will eventually get UBER in BC and taxi companies will be deserving the drop in customers for sure.

Improvement on the App, unfortunately same service. Don't use this if you're in a hurry because it takes forever to get a cab (if you're lucky, most of the times you'll just give up)

Worst app ever...doesn't get passed verification code. You deserve losing profit to ride sharing.
