Cadence Running Tracker for Android
Really good for getting the cadence correct. It needs some trial and error to get the smartphone mounted (on my arm) to get proper readings. So much better than the first 2 apps I tried. And it looks like it is helping to fix my running problems. TOP APP!!
Very useful app when it works. However, intermittent software problem causes it to crash w/o warning in the middle of a run. Unreliable, so now useless.
I like this app and have used it every day since downloading it. I would like it more if it didn't give crazy readings, like sometimes is says I am running far slower than I actually am (like 49 min per Km, which is pretty much impossible to do). I have been close to deleting it a couple of times, but haven't done so because I haven't found a substitute yet.
The app does what it's supposed to do. I use the free version. For free, this is over the top good. There is a pay version...but I'm a runner...i ain't got no money to pay for that. All my money is in shoes!!!
Awesome with many cool features like cadence measurements, auto split based on distance and duration. Speak on every split, impact, post run analysis, export to strava and other applications
The only app that has offline GPS and a metronome you can set to run at a cadance. You can switch between miles and km is great for a free app
Discovered this by chance. Great app with metronome. Helping me clock consistent cadence of 170+
Best running app. Great options for feedback. Metronome for cadence has really helped me out.
Easy to use and understand. Highly customizable. Would love to see ability to add interval timing w/ feedback.
A really good app for tracking cadence. Easy to work
loved the app!
Nice app for cadence
I too liked the app. Have become a supporter. You use in side by side with Strava (oh I am going to change to something else because Strava crashes mid-run) only because Runzi distances are too wrong! Although I willing to live with that considering the benefits of impact, cadence, and stride analysis I wonder if Runzi can improve its gps handling.
Contrary to what claimed in the app description, if running at the same time as Endomondo the GPS keeps losing signal. The rest looks good, hopefully one of the big companies will hire this developer and integrate this data into one of the main running apps. Would be perfect.
Unique app and ideal for serious speedwalking as well as running. Cadence tracking and metronome combo are exactly what I wanted. Works exactly as you'd expect, never hangs or crashes. Way better than all the other running apps and I should know bc I've tried pretty much all of them. I actually paid for this app and would have paid more.
I loved this app. I used to run it alongside Runtastic PRO, since Runzi doesn't support BLE heart rate straps or interval training. I had issues with it not recording runs, so I quit using it.
I have used Runkeeper & Runtastic. This app by far blows them away. Read the setup so you know how to use it. It is packed with much more useful data them both the aforementioned. Free, but you must donate to get the full experience. Yes both Runkeeper & Runtastic nag you with upgrades even in the paid versions. I have several hundred miles with Runtastic and have to log into the website to view additional data that is no where what you get here. Hopefully Android Wear integration is on the future.
Keep it up! Just note for others out there you can upload your runs afterwards to endomondo map my run etc so no need to have 2 tracking apps on the go at the same time. For endomondo save the file to dropbox and then upload the file from dropbox to endomondo's webpage add workout function using your phones browser (the endomonodo app doesn't let you do this).
I really wanted to like this app, but as others have said, it doesn't seem to actually record your run. I got the split info just fine, but at the end of my run, there was nothing and no way to stop recording, even though I was still getting a notification. I bet there's some simple problem, but there's no way I can recommend.
I've been looking all over for an app that tracks your cadence. This app fits that bill perfectly, and it's free! You can also have the app periodically read out your cadence for the last 5 minute split, so you can get semi-live updates on your cadence!
I can attribute many aspects of my running progress to this app.. I learned about "Born To Run" book from the help section which then lead to other research into proper running form and importance of cadence.. I beat all my personal records after I have started using the app.. pumped my cadence up to 180, and looking to go beyond now.. and with the shorter and more frequent stride, the injuries are gone too. I use the app in parallel with Endomondo on HTC One M8. No issues there.. Highly recommended!
I paid to get the additional feature of the interval timers. While these did become active I was a little disappointed that the timer settings weren't a little more customizable. The intervals were selectable in 15 second increments. I wish I could set something different. I'm playing with my run/walk intervals and it would be nice to select whatever duration I wanted.
This app is very light and does everything a run app should do, plus some useful extras. Great if you become interested in adjusting cadence. The intermittent and customizable metronome is perfect for periodic checks. I am able to export runs to MapMyRun without issue (for my employer wellness program). I recommend donating to get full functionality. Just don't forget to leave your screen on (and locked)once you start a workout!
Great app. Getting a cadence helped me realize how slow my feet were moving. Slow feet = higher impact and over striding = more injuries.
Tried the free version and upgraded immediately because I think the developer deserved it. Had no issues with saving. Love the fact I can run it with music and alter volumes to suit. Like the cadence updates as I run. Think this will improve my pace dramatically if I use the metronome to remind me of my pace. Steps and gps seem to work fine and match other apps. Just need to be able to export more easily to other apps.
Shows impact and cadence which I think are the 2 most important stats and also has so many awesome features like play back and summary pictures in a list so you can see your workouts with all the stats for each. It says to get a belt around your waist for the phone to be held in but I have not tried that yet, just holding the phone while running.
Cadence tracking without ext. sensors - very useful. I also like the interval metronome feature. Thanks!
as a newer runner, the data from this app is proving invaluable to my progress. works flawlessly. Zero complaints.
I'm loving the cadence coaching from Runzi. The pace and distance cues at the splits are super helpful too. I also like seeing the map and performance summaries at the end of a run.
Nexus 5X. No problems storing run or anything. For me, best features are (a) ability to select how often to get feedback during the run (like split time up to every minute) and (B) ability to export run details for you to review, graph, compare, etc. As you like.
So dear runzi team, I wants to request to arrange the timer and stopwatch facilities in next update.
If I switch apps while doing a workout and then tap the Runzi icon to open it again, I'm not shown my current workout. Instead, I have to tap New Workout which immediately drops my current workout so I lose my run data.
Finally, an app for android with cadence support! But, no support for heart rate monitors? It's an overall android issue, I can't find an app that does all four of the following: Cadence, Heartrate, Export to strava/runkeeper, auto-pause. ismoothrun on iphone was amazing, haven't found anything close on android yet.
In the past (before August 2015), this app worked beautifully, but recently it has stopped saving my run data. It will call out my stats during the run, but when I go to look at the summary, the workout is either gone, or only the first minute was recorded.
The app is well constructed with a lot of nice options (metronome, recording steps by splits, other stats and tracking your run with the GPS), but for me, the step count wasn't accurate while running (Samsung YP-70). Also it lacks to export the steps count with the GPS data.
The app only allows you to upload 1/2 of your workout to Runkeeper and other apps unless you make a donation.
I really want to give this app five stars in because it is easy to use, full of features, and donation-based, so you can tell they really care. However, I can't give it a good rating because it fails to save my runs! I'll use the app on my Nexus 6 and it gives me splits and the data I requested while running, but as soon as I touch the pulldown notification to reenter the application run, the him screen comes up and there is no way to see my run, just start a new one. The run doesn't save no matter what
Was totally happy with the app and all its features until it failed to call out split data and fail to record/show distance and pace during the workout, reducing it to just a metronome. Could I Uninstall then reinstall, will my donation still be credited?
I have several running apps on my phone but I only use this one. The cadence metronome has really helped me a lot.

The only cadence trainer I can find on android and it's really really good. Having discovered the metronome I like it even more. Amazing that runtastic/runkeeper/etc can't do cadence but Runzi does it so well. Good to see the developer is back supporting this app.
