Like A Local Offline CityGuide for Android
The app actually worked, but the content is not worry paying for. Also don't like that the free download is basically just a catalog. Not worth your time or money.
It helps to find little perks of the new cities
Nothing is free
Even though the app is in beta it requires a fee for each city. By beta I mean frequent blocks with heavy battery usage, junk images in Google Photos, poor and buggy map rendering, useless "places nearby" feature with almost arbitrary distance estimation and no routing whatsoever. I think the developers should either make the beta version free or remove it from the market until it's more stable.
Install the app have a free trial, then have to pay. Load of crap! Very informative but why say free app then charge once you've downloaded it!
Can't scroll on screens. If I could give it zero stars, I would, because it simply doesn't work.
Love the idea, looks packed full of content - when it loads. But then once loaded it's unable to scroll through content. Would like to explore this app it's unusable on my otherwise speedy LGG4.
if you want to become a contributor (if you have lived in a city for at least a year), send them an email via their website! for me this website has the best picks and assortment when it comes to my travel habits.
Great idea. Needs a bit of work. Please can you add Utrecht to the list of cities?
Seemed to be downloading the map, then it said that I had to check my internet connection, even though it was fine. Content then was frozen and unusable. This was after paying for the full content. I'm on a Moto X.
I've downloaded and paid for the extended version but it is not usable. I can not search, can not look into what I want to see.. This is a disappointment for me even paying for it. I believe that it should be repaired for these issues.
Great app. for people who have no idea what to choose from when travelling in a big city! :-)
it contains comments from peoples who there before were!
When they have the city available 5 stars
Love the app.really worth.
Awful app unusable on Samsung 6
Love the idea, app is not so well built
As noted by a few other people, looks good but am unable to scroll down on key screens and can't access content
Please fix this problemmmmmm
I tried this app when I went to Lisbon. Total waste of time! The local tips will be along the lines of "don't visit the church, visit the park in front of the church". The restaurants? Go with TripAdvisor. And the trial period of 8h is a complete joke. I buy apps when they are nicely done and fill a void not covered by any other app. Not the case with this one. Much better free alternatives! Uninstalled and never coming back!

I know work must pay off but just call your local office for free events around
Wanted to check it out for Chicago and L.A. but not in the database. Only New York...
Why not free?
Includes only selective countries or cities.
it was a nice guide in a new city. a place to eat ... a place to shop ... anything you might need. it can point you out to it just one thing that it crashes sometimes. maybe it can be improved on
When I select a city the app throws an error message saying it can't download maps, check internet connection. Yes I've checked, there's nothing the matter with the internet connection... UPDATE :- Installed on Sony Xperia Z2 and can successfully download maps. Provides great information. Found some great places to eat using this app.
Do your own research. This app is very limited in terms of the number of cities and the moment you click on one of the cities you can see it will want to charge you to view the info. There is a trial info option which is free.
Widen the database please :)
Why not free?
Nothing better than TripAdvisor
I liked the information presented a lot - many of the places suggested were places I'd not known of before but am totally planning to check out now, like the Gardener's Cottage and Ghillie Dhu! - but the app crashed a lot, which made looking through the places very frustrating. I ended up just checking out the Like a Local website on my laptop, which was a much more enjoyable experience.
Great idea to have all this at your fingertips when visiting a city with online and offline lists. Can easily compete with Trip Advisor. However the app itself is poor with the map not working and just force closing. Get your devs on it to create something awesome!
Old version
It crashes as soon as you select a city and then, whenever reopening the app, it just shows the "cities" screen but with no cities, just empty list. Not a serious dev work.
The whole application is buggy and most of the time simply doesn't work at all. The webpage this app is based on is great, which makes it an even larger pity that this app is total rubbish.

Paid for the Stockholm data.... Only one nightclub? Are you kidding?
The paper maps are brilliant.

I used this app 1 year ago. It had a few issues at the time but basically worked and supplied some great information. now the new version of the app does not scroll making it totally unusable. :-( pity
