Before the update, it was a great, very simple app that took user directly to a field for entering BG value. The update forces you to click through about six steps before you can enter the data. Bluetooth never works, but app nags Everytime to turn it on. No option to turn the reminder off. A perfect case for "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

E70%
by E####:

Better than the no frills app I used before because it's easier to see the patterns in my carb to insulin ratio. Would be great if it could sync with Fitbit. I frequently have problems syncing with my Honor 8. My resolution is to turn off Bluetooth, force kill the app from app switcher screen, then reopen app and let it turn Bluetooth back on and pull down in home screen. This usually resolves any Bluetooth sync issues.

UPDATE: Just got a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone, and my meter is no longer talking to my phone. Have tried a number of things to get them to even pair but to no avail. Don't know if it's an issue with Bluetooth or the app, just know they're not communicating. I advise caution regarding this app. Very disappointed that it no longer works with my meter.

by C####:

I've had the meter and app for a little more than a month. Initial pairing went well with no issues. Now, I just open the app, log in with a fingerprint, and swipe down to sync with the meter, anytime, evening from another room. The meter doesn't have to be on, the Bluetooth link is always showing on the meter's screen.

FINALLY PAIRED! Called cust svc - directed to look @ string of numbers ON TOP OF METER DISPLAY to enter into OS (credentials). They are NOT THE DEFAULT that you might be using to pair devices. Problem solved - had the app (or website) indicated to me what was required, this problem could have been averted.

C70%
by C####:

Like everyone else - sync is impossible without spending tech support time. The solution last time was to uninstall the app, reinstall and go through pairing again. Each time??? How ridiculous!! Should have bought a cheaper model with cheaper test strips and used a pencil and piece of paper. Don't market this app if it doesn't work.

I dont like that you can not delete the notifications. I have checked them and they keep showing up in the dashboard. Anoying. Please fix it. At least the app finaly scyncs with my meter. Fix it and i may give you a better rating.

Syncing sucks fix it or put back the way it was...If its not broke don't fix it! Have not been able to sync since Sept.13, 2017...please fix it... You caled re downloaded App re sync STILL WON'T SYNC...WHEN WILL YOU FIX THIS GET RID OF THIS LAST UPDATE...

You may think this might be difficult? Turns out to be very easy. A lot of options to help in reading you're blood levels. You might be used to having a light and have it light up. It doesn't do that, but, It doesn't take long to get over that.

Switched to the Verio Flex today, was happy with my previous meter but I wanted the Bluetooth logging option. App will not pair with my phone. I can go into settings and see the meter as available in my Bluetooth connections but the app refuses to see it. I have read the FAQs and I have double checked the location services. I can pair with the device outside of the app but the app doesn't recognize it wether it's manually paired or not. Going back to my old meter. Waste of my time and energy.

L70%
by L####:

UPDATED REVIEW: I dislike how you removed the bar that had my averages and moved it into a whole new screen in the very top right. It was very convenient to see this information easily. The app now sends me a notification every day to remind me to sync with the app. I don't want to be reminded every day, as I only sync my meter every week or so. Why is this stupid notification a thing?

C70%
by C####:

Go back to old design please! How can i track my exact sugars if you won't pair with your own meter??? Worst update for an app I have ever had. Please fix now!

C70%
by C####:

Won't pair with my old meter or my new meter. Worthless. This is my health that I'm dealing with and the thing won't work. Great job! Why don't you make something that works and that is usable?

Still a little buggy when trying to sync but much more consistant than it used to be. Instead of just being able to log "carbs" would like to be able to log meals & snacks. As is, it's great if you count carbs but some of us don't. Logging meal times would be handy in tracking blood sugars in relation to meal times. Also the charting & reports are limited. This isn't the most versatile logbook app I've used but the fact that it syncs with my meter makes up for it. I would recommend this app and meter to a friend with a few qualifications. Update: Have been using app now for a while and the sync has been great, no issues. The reports/trending are still limited. Have found it best to export to csv to look at trends. Would also offer one more suggestion to the developers to provide further flexibility in adjusting times for daily routines. I work rotating shifts so sometimes my schedule is flipped where I am going to bed in the morning and eating my main meal at midnight. There isn't a way to denote this in the app for organizing the data. Overall, I like the app for the most part.

by R####:

Please turn off the location access requirement for this app. I called customer service and they gave me some bologna about Andoid 6.0 and greater, blah, blah. It's not medially necessary for you to know where I am at all times and it wastes battery power and data. In the meantime, I'm staying with the better MySugr app.

C70%
by C####:

Synced well. Easy to use. However signing up was bad due to the fact that your birthday isn't a pull down menu. Having to swipe through 50 years 12 months each was awful.

C70%
by C####:

Awful App that does not play well with Android. Developer should be ashamed. Cannot get past login account creation without being coerced into accepting marketing info.

F70%
by F####:

So damn stupid. Keep on asking me to switch off overlay even through I have switched it off. And it simply can't sync with my meter. Fire your tech guy please!

C70%
by C####:

Prior to update the app worked great and did everything I needed it to do, very intuitive. Now I had to recreate my account and it still won't sync to my phone. Do not like new layout either.

C70%
by C####:

This app was WAY better before all the updates. It constantly has trouble sinking with my meters.i have to close app and reopen multiple times before it sinks. The larger readout sucks because you can't view more than 2 readings and 2 carb intakes at one time. You used to be able to view an entire day.

O70%
by O####:

Easy to sync and take notes in regards to readings. Great Bluetooth range. Only negatives is limited characters for notes and messages won't stop showing as unread even after multiple viewings

O70%
by O####:

It is frustrating. It is paired to my smart phone but is a mystery as to when or why it will sync to my phone. It just does it every couple of days.

C70%
by C####:

This wiped out over a year of data with its last update and now it won't sync with my meter. Way to mess up something good.

D70%

Dont like nag screen to turn on BT. Im not near my meter just want to log carbs and activity. I dont take meter with me every time I leave home. But I do take my phone every time.

Q70%
by Q####:

Time zones are fixed. Cannot get bedtime past midnight. Zones are worthless for 2nd & 3rd shift workers or night owls. Unable to define time zones (breakfast, lunch, dinner, bedtime, overnight) that match on *my* schedule. I have to exit & reload the app to show updates from meter to PC via USB to online account; i.e., app reads account on load, no update check after loaded.

C70%
by C####:

The app will not go past updated consent page on my android phone. On my android tablet it finds the meter then fails to connect. I called to get help with both these issues, spent 40 minutes with a representative who told me he will send me a new meter to replace the one I have had for less than a month. We then tried to get past the phone update to no avail. The rep repeatedly asked the same questions immediately after I gave him the answer. So I gave up and got off the call. Not happy with this product at all.

B70%
by B####:

Great app and would be a 5 star if there was an option to turn off the the notice to allow turning on Bluetooth. Very annoying and asks even when meter is off and we'll out of range.

C70%
by C####:

The old app was easier to use. Easier to read. Easier to sync. I jave had double reading and it wont let me delete one. The old app was much more user friendly. This new app is terrrible

C70%
by C####:

At first I wasn't thrilled about the new update but now after using it for a little while it seems just as good as the old program thrilled to have such control over my sugar

C70%
by C####:

App would be great if I were able to pair it to my galaxy 5 phone. Your tech people need to fix this problem and update the app.

C70%
by C####:

The recent update is a failure. Uninstalled and reinstalled no better. Fails to sync, can't connect to meter. Worked flawlessly before.

C70%
by C####:

i think i wouldve hated this had i not had another option (i use this app on my ipod touch and the syncing is flawless) unfortunately on my sony xperia z5 compact, this app has a lot of trouble. it says it has synced with the meter but none of the readings show up. after wasting about 2 hours, and inputting the reading manually, depleting the battery life to one bar on the meter, i gave up... it's unfortunate bc i dont hate the meter itself that i'm using (one touch verio flex) due to it's extra fine lancet/needle prick (from someone who has a serious fear of needles).

Originally: Testing & logging my blood sugars & all the necessary info WAS so quick & easy. Taking my results to my doctor WAS so much better with my phone or tablet, instead of bulky log sheets. I'm loving this app! 6-8-17: HOWEVER, just went to use it after latest update & everything is moved around & hard to find. Now it's bare-bones, less features. I CAN NO LONGER SET MY MEALTIME PARAMETERS. PLEASE PUT THE MEALTIME CLOCK BACK IN. I NEED IT! I'm not the only one complaining about this here! Also, the new green color is awful. Go back to blue - it's easier on the eyes. Fix these issues & I'll put back up to 5 stars. 7-19-17: STILL HAVEN'T PUT MEALTIME PARAMETER CLOCK BACK IN. Why? READINGS ARE MEANINGLESS WITHOUT IT.

I would NEED TO KEEP tapping my cell for probably 20 min in order to put in my date of birth. This is so utterly ridiculous, especially since I WAS BORN IN 1940. STUPID THINKING ON THE PART OF DEVELOPERS!!!!!!!!

N70%

This is my first time using a device like this. My phone can locate the meter but it will not sync to it. A waste of time for me right now. I'll continue to write them down manually

I keep having syn problems with meter. Maybe the update today will help. My doctor gets the readings to keep me on track. Great app thank you.

How do i hide irritating "patterns"? One of the best app on my phone! I cant make "patterns" go away tho. Love the improvements!

Need more room to write comments. Not enough room to write in all prescriptions etc I need to show my doctor. I like the Bluetooth feature a lot. Would like to see a graphing feature which connects the dots for low, normal and high values instead of just dots.

G70%
by G####:

I like it but, I have One Touch Verio 1Q meter and it does not apparently have the blue tooth option for that meter. Otherwise after I enter my reading it is great. Thought for some reason my doctor can not see my insulin readings I put in. So I have to write to insulin teadings in the extra information area.

Prior to update could not get the phone and meter to sync. After numerous uninstall and reinstalls it finally paired and would sync, it works well now.
