Lifehacker - Life hacks, tips for Android
App was great, even with ads sometimes, but now loads Google play store and shows apps, sometimes 5-10 in succession, locks up phone. Garbage now.
Nice app with useful information
Love the eclectic articles from how to remove motor oil from walls to how to get away from a bear
Reading other reviews about pop up ads, I don't get them myself. The ads I get are unobtrusively located at the bottom and are how this service is able to be free for use. The app itself is an easy way for me to read interesting articles from my favorite Lifehacker
Why do you obtain WIFI CONNECTION INFO perms??? It is not needed for app functions!!! What are you doing???
The articles are filled with useful information. The choices cover a wide range of topics beyond technology to fitness and nutrition and everyday useful tips
Good to keep updated with life hacks
Are you the same life hacker?
Enjoy life hacker
The redirect to the browser makes the app useless. Also, don't believe the fake reviews.
GUESS WHAT? THIS APP IS LEGITIMATELY NOT MADE BY LIFEHACKER. IT HAVE INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF USELESS ADS AND A RIPOFF.
I agree with others. Not worth using the app. Might as well start out at the source.
I like having it at a glance . and choose among them
Let see what u can show
Its an ocean around..
it'svery important thing..
LIfehacker is great. This app is NOT. During a single article read you are interrupted over and over by Play Store launch to a game you would never buy. Very disappointing that the folks at Lifehacker would sell their souls for this sort of ad slamming.
Any good that Lifehacker may bring into this world is overshadowed by the evil popup ads and play store windows. It's like a telemarketer cutting into your call every couple of minutes.
Every given to ten seconds it brings up play store to install crappy games.
Pops up an ad every couple seconds. The kind that redirects you to the Google play store
I enjoy this app. Full of information you may find useful.
Good reading, makes you think.
Has incredible shortcuts and tips
Would give it zero stars if I could. This is the most obnoxious app I've ever tried to use. Gives you a full screen redirect to Play store app (usually a game) randomly while you are in the middle of reading a Lifehacker story. Uninstalled. Pathetic. This app ad business is out of control. Just bookmark Lifehacker in your browser. Lifehacker website scales well to phones and tablets.
This app was decent with occasional ads, but out of nowhere the ads are beyond excessive. In less than 10 minutes of using it, I got a good 5 ads interrupting my read. Uninstalling.
DO NOT INSTALL! It used to just play a video when I hit the back button which was bad enough. Now it constantly interrupts your reading by opening up the play store and showing you a game or something it wants you to download. No need to click on the banner at the bottom anymore.
A never-ending onslaught of pop-up ads will make you sick of this in a hurry. It's too bad. There's no option to get rid of these ads at all.
Horrible app. Constantly generating pop-up ads.
Uninstalled as it kept prompting me to install uBer from Play store.
These ads are insane
Worst app
How do I view articles I've given stars to?
The redirect to the browser makes the app useless. Also, don't believe the fake reviews.
More of advertising app than anything else
Very good bcoz, it also give some ideas for new
Ever since the update switching themes does nothing. I liked the dark theme so it wouldn't be blinding me with the white background when I'm browsing at night.
This is pretty sweet. It's a lot easier and faster to scroll through lifehacker's articles with this app than with a browser. Plus material design!
When I first installed there was a message to explain how to prevent the redirect. However, I can't now find any settings that would enable me to change this. Let me know how to do that and I'll gladly change this to a five star review, because otherwise the app is great.
I can't read the whole article within the app without opening it on Web browser...kinda useless.

I love the content, but lately the app has been opening my Google Play Store app on its own. I'll be reading when suddenly, the Play store app opens. Closing the Play store app does nothing. It'll reopen immediately... multiple times. The only way to stop it is by closing the Lifehacker app first. The whole issue will return the next time that I open the Lifehacker app. I will stop using the app if this isn't fixed, soon!!
