This SportGait app integrates with its medical app that uses validated protocols to evaluate the extent of an athlete’s injury and encourage a safe and efficient return to activity when ready. SportGait utilizes guidelines set by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and NIH (National Institutes of Health), and complies with all state laws regarding concussion management and evaluation.
Most concussion apps are only education focused, or are designed to simply capture data; the SportGait app is unique in that it is part of a precision medical-grade system which allows it to sync with a SportGait-certified medical provider’s CMOS (Concussion Management Operating System) to allow both parties to receive real-time updates on the athlete’s recovery process. The data from this parent app is combined with neuromotor and neuropsychological tests for confident medical diagnosis, treatment and management.

SportGait's app is fully featured and robust, exactly as it is advertised. The ability to track injuries in real-time (and not have the app yell at me to go to a hospital every time I check any symptom) is my favorite feature, and the knowledge database is expansive and thorough. It even gives you an ID number that you can register with a nearby Medac Urgent Care that allows you and your doctor work together in real time throughout the entire concussion recovery process. It's really well thought out and executed, especially for a free app. Great work!
