About LibreLink

Monitor your glucose with the LibreLink app*, the only mobile app that is approved to work directly with FreeStyle Libre flash glucose monitoring sensors. Together they provide an easy way to monitor your glucose without routine fingerpricks.**

With the LibreLink app, check your glucose by holding the back of your phone against your FreeStyle Libre sensor to view:
· Your current glucose reading
· A trend arrow that indicates where your glucose is heading
· Your glucose history for up to the last 8 hours

You can use the LibreLink app to:
· Start and scan FreeStyle Libre sensors
· Add notes (like food, insulin and exercise)
· View and share glucose trends and patterns for up to the last 90 days
· Connect to friends and family who use the LibreLinkUp app*

If desired, you can use the FreeStyle Libre reader and your LibreLink app on the same sensor if you start the sensor with the reader, then scan that sensor with your LibreLink app during the sensor’s warm-up period.***

If you’ve used the FreeStyle Libre reader before, you may notice differences in scan performance due to NFC performance and the location of the NFC antenna on your phone. NFC performance varies by phone make and model.

The LibreLink app is indicated for use by people aged 4 and up (the indication for children (ages 4-17) is limited to those who are supervised by a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age).

If you require a printed user guide, contact LibreLink Customer Support.

* Use of the LibreLink and LibreLinkUp apps requires registration with the LibreView system, which is provided by Abbott and Newyu, Inc.
** The LibreLink app and the FreeStyle Libre reader have similar, but not identical, features. A fingerprick test using a blood glucose meter is required during times of rapidly changing glucose levels when interstitial fluid glucose levels may not accurately reflect blood glucose levels or if hypoglycaemia or impending hypoglycaemia is reported by the LibreLink app or when symptoms do not match the LibreLink app readings.
***Data is not transferred between the reader and the app and is not combined. It is important to continue scanning the sensor with one device so you receive the most complete picture of your glucose trends and patterns.

Overall a superb app. I stopped using the libre link reader and now use my android phone instead. Some improvement suggestions: ability to upload data to a website so that I can look at the carbs, insulin and bs together. I have connected with diasend but only the bs readings get uploaded, not the carbs insulin or exercise. Agree with others to add settings to control the scan beep volume within app. Add ability to add a comment to the day ie 'office day', 'hiking all day', 'diy at home'. Link to sports apps such as Sportstracker and strata would be great!

Passive reporting rather than active management and missing the most useful functionality of a CGM or pump - a bolus calculator, active insulin and blood glucose predictor. It can share its data via DiaSend but its reports are screen only, no PDFs and can't be emailed. Doesn't record finger-stick values to improve accuracy (try Glimp), and doesn't respect the Android device's display settings - it doesn't rotate or zoom. A larger screen and data input are welcome improvements but I'm still using the reader to share PDF reports. Airstrip didn't reply to my query about how to output PDFs.

I've been using LibreLink with my Samsung Galaxy S5 for several months. I used it in parallel with the normal reader, but it was particularly handy when I needed to take a reading and didn't have the reader with me (pending hypos for example). I've just upgraded to the Galaxy S8 and was initially pleased to see it worked, but the Galaxy almost immediately did a software update and since then LibreLink is unable to read the sensors. I hope this can be fixed.

Thought this was a life changer...app doesn't work, full stop. Sensors fall off and if you try to report or replace you're given a list of 15 things to do and try. I pay for ease, not 15 things to add to my to do list. Upset that it's not good in its current form and I'm paying for its inability to read accurately and stay on!!!

Hasn't worked since early February, no data transfer from phone to Diasend. Sort it out. LGg5.So what was the diasend update has changed its name to libre link! This now won't scan my sensors. This and diasend get worse by the week and nothing gets done about it about time for some serious competion.

I would have give the app 5* plus ! Had it on my Samsung galaxy s6 and was brilliant. I have recently upgraded my phone to the Samsung galaxy s8 but can't use the libre app anymore which is very disappointing as it's costing me over £100 for the sensors ! Please hurry up and Sort the issue otherwise I will no longer be purchasing the libre sensors.

Doesn't work with S8. Downgraded from iOS for no reason. Don't copy and paste a reply - 2 emails sent and still waiting for a response.

Poor effort of an app that could offer so much more. Useless customer service as no response to a concern I had regarding sensors. Thanks for your help.

Update: fast response from dev. Now compatible with the P9+ as well and back to 5 star rating from me! Good job! ----- Why is this app compatible with the Huawei p9 but not with the p9plus? Basically same hardware... I've side loaded it and it works. I want to install it via the play store though. Please fix that.

Great app, better than the reader, but the scan beep is too loud and annoying. I shouldn't have to set my phone to silent or mess with phone notification settings that mean other app functionality suffers just to make my scans quiet. Please add options or at least make the notification beeps quiet! There's no need for a loud beep on something actively being used. Edit: Frying sensors after a few days. Others users also finding this. Avoid until fixed. Also unimpressed with their lack of interest in fixing the loud beep despite many users complaining. Uninstalling. Shame, as it was very useful, but frying sensors is unacceptable and I don't dare risk it in the future.

App completely stopped working after update, "unexpected application error". 90 days of data gone. Great when it used to work. Uninstalling.

Doesn't work with Samsung S8!!! Changed from iOS just to have this compatible and find out it doesn't read the sensor . Just spent 1 hour trying to connect my sensor and nothing

Worked perfectly previously when the sensor was first paired with the reader and then with an android phone. However after upgrading my phone to the Samsu g Galaxy S8, it will no longer pair with the phone (New sensor paired with reader first and now trying to pair with phone in first 60 mins whilst sensor sets up - NFC on and librelink app on old phone signed out of and deleted from old phone).

It would be nice if you could log .5 servings for your meals. And it would be great if there was the opportunity to sync your phone with your testing device and the freestyle libre computer program. Other than that the app works.

Must use automatic time and date?? Sorry want to use my own time and date due to country hoping with time zones stuffing up other apps, so guess this app is totally useless for me, better to use glimp

M70%

The app is good but I am really disappointed to know that I cannot download or share raw data . They collet all my data but deny access to download my own raw data!!!!

Will the app be updated to work with the Galaxy S8 anytime soon? Great to be able to use the phone to take readings, but please please please add an option to disable the sounds.

Worked well on my old phone, but sadly refusing to scan with my Sony experia, wish it was more reliable considering the cost

You have made a huge error with this update. Absolute shambles. App not working at all, constantly tells me I need to obtain latest update when I already have. What happened?

M70%
by M####:

the app won't let me update, and won't work without an update, it informs me. my sensor is only 2 hours old! someone please fix this or buy me a new sensor! this is terrible, so angry!!!

Q70%

Would give it 0. Think that as the site has crashed and I am unable to open the app, I've probably lost the use of the sensor. Dexcom is looking more and more appealing.

After update it is constantly asking for update and doesn't work at all. Unfortunate as now I can't get my data and lost my one day of sensor usage.

There are several small tweaks that could make this more user friendly. Eg. Adding notes to any scan point after a scan is saved. I just found out how to do this but it's buried in a non obvious place. Ability to lower the 'ring tone' volume as I now advertise to everyone I'm scanning. Ability to calibrate the sensor to my levels, not factory calibrated. Really like the facet a family member/carer can login on their phone to see my levels. Bluetooth would be brilliant!!!

Q70%
by Q####:

Love the convenience of being able to scan from my phone. App needs ability to export data not just images though. Glad I read comments from those who had problems after this update, couldn't afford to be without this working; better QA needed...

M70%
by M####:

Has caused multiple sensors to fail although the reader works fine. There's no good reason for this to happen but comes down to the software in the sensor as much as elsewhere. Aside from the reliability and the worrying difference in readings between the app and the reader, the app is missing a lot of the features it needs but the developers just cut and paste a boilerplate response to comments. Better off with one of the numerous third party apps.

M70%
by M####:

It's very incomprehensible that if we initiate the sensor with the mobile app then we can't do it with the freestyle libre machine. Would be good to make it work through Bluetooth so that could make the readings from a far position.

C70%
by C####:

A good start for my first sensor. I'd like to see an option for longer trend graphs as well as the day / 24 hour view. Cost of sensor may prevent permanent use though. With regard to suggestions for future development: 1: can this app work with a food app like carb and cals rather than track carb values? 2: as a regular traveller for work adding an option to enable GPS location would be helpful (similar to golf pad GPS).

Seems to have enough corruption on the screen due to time change
