This app will give you peace of mind that you’re connecting to a secure UPC service.

With the Secure Connect app, your favourite Android device is protected against any unauthorized Wi-Fi networks posing as a UPC WifiSpots or Wi-Free access point.
How does it work?
The app installs a Wi-Fi profile on your Android device. This profile recognises the network and ensures your device only connects to a genuine UPC WifiSpots or Wi-Free network.

This app is for all UPC internet customers who use an Android device to connect to the UPC WifiSpots or Wi-Free network.
The app will install three Wi-Fi profiles: UPC WifiSpots, Horizon Wi-Free and UPC Wi-Free, allowing you to safely use the service at home and in other UPC countries.
How do I install Secure Connect?
Simply download and install Secure Connect from the Google Play store on your favourite Android device.
Then, run the app to install a Wi-Fi profile. You must have a screen lock set on your device to log into the Secure Connect App. If you do not already have a screen lock set, you will be prompted to do so when you first log into the app.
Finally, enter your WifiSpots or Wi-Free username and password to complete the install of the Wi-Fi profiles.

Secure Connect is compatible from Android version 2.x and above.

Installation on Galaxy Tab 3 worked as described, Nexus 4 not. According to the UPC helpdesk it is not known when it will be supported. It's a pity that you can't find out until you call the helpdesk.

... I wouldn't use it. Doesn't work as described on the Galaxy Tab S. Probably the device is just not supported, but it's not worth another soul-sucking call to the help desk just to find out. Plus it forces you to set a lock screen PIN/pattern; not only inconvenient but not desperately useful from a security standpoint. Demands too much control over your device for the service offered.

De app is geen enkele garantie dat je ook met een wifispot wordt verbonden. Ik heb niets veranderd maar heb ineens authentication problemen en kan dus geen tv kijken op mijn tablet, de reden dat ik dit stuk str@nt heb geinstalleerd in de first place. Ik heb net een uninstal uitgevoerd,gevolgd door een reinstal, en 1 keer raden, de app zegt nu dat mijn tablet niet ondersteund wordt. Maar gisteren werkte mijn tablet nog met deze app, en kon ik we'll tv kijken. Laat iemand aub de ontwikkelaar van deze (cr)app afschieten

It will force a pincode access upon your tablet/phone. And you appartus can not be set into the state before the installation. UPC is put on notice but they decided not to inform new users clearly before the installation
