LG TV Remote

obviously if I'm using this app I don't have my TV remote..so when I'm lying it bed at 5am after binge watching Netflix I don't wanna have to get up to turn the TV off, I mean seriously come on

This app is below average. Typing in a search is useless most times. The app is ok whenever it decides to connect to my TV. My network is fine, I'm at a close range and even the TV seems to know it is syncing with my phone. But then the app disconnects from the TV and says network issue, when clearly the tv knew my phone was trying to connect.

Received a message from LG TV remote that I had to install this program in order to use my blu ray player however the device does not show up with this app. All I want to do is use the device I cannot find the remote for but the apps LG provides are useless.

Works ok but can't stand the fact that when you quickly want to change volume for example, you open the app and the very first thing it does is spin and spin and then a stupid ad pops up. So forget about the quick access. Move the damn ad from startup.

For older tv version LB58... why cant u give the screen sharing from mobile or tablets. Why do we need other apps to get it. But same future is avail in new advanced lg tv plus app. Why cant u integrated to lg tv remote version app. Please make it suitable for all version in a single app. Else it may not a good service.

Since the last webOS update, the app does not work on my LB3600 anymore. It can no longer find the TV when it scans. WebOS Magic Remote app is able to find and pair. So what gives LG? A third party app can do the job but you guys can't? Update... July 2017 and it still does not work.

This aap seems as though it hasn't been updated in ages. Can't find my TV and the dialogue mentions compatible models. LG support is worthless. They say there aren't any compatible models. One technician actually suggested I try all of them to see which one works. Don't waste your time.

App wants a 6-digit code from TV. TV used to pop a little window with the code in it, but now the little window no longer has a code - it's just a blank white rectangle where the code should be, and the old code it used to display there. doesn't work any longer. Tried this on 3 or 4 Androids ranging from Jelly Bean to Marshmallow, with identical result. Things like this should just work - and stay working.

Installed the right app. It worked once. Now the app is broken. Phone app on mobile can't find any TV connection. ??? Checked settings are correct. App definitely is broken. It won't work in any of my Android phones. Xperia ultra marshmallow or Zenfone2 lollipop. Please fix it. Thanks.

Device scan over and over and over. Other devices on my network have no trouble. Missing obvious features like picking input by name as shown on screen. Onerous privacy terms.

Logon code only shows numbers from 1 to 3, rubbish. What sort of bug testing do you guys do? (from a programmer in the games industry for the last 30 years, contact me if you want to make your app an industry leader)

stupid application. it requires PIN code. LG please remember that your app must make the using to become easy, but not make the using to become complicated. It must automatically find handle all via MAC adress of device. What now ? i must go to find PIN code in the cataloge or in the back side of TV ? i do not see PIN in the back side. No cataloge. Stupid LG app. i Uninstalled. I will never buy LG panels in the future. Consider to buy Samsung

It doesn't work. Everytime I get on it it keeps saying to check the tv connection to the Internet e en though it is perfectly fine. I absolutely hate this app wish it actually worked cause it makes me want to take my TV back.

Used to work awesome on my s7 edge for a couple of days. I would give it 5 stars but for some reason the connection is not stable and cant find my tv afterwords, even though I've reset my phone and modem. Im sure its the app because all other tv and phone wifi functions work. Can't use it for more than 5 min before it completely disconnects and can't find my tv. (Insert sad face here)

My dog destroyed my remote on my 47LG6400 and I was quite mad...but did some digging and this app popped up. So I said yea yea sure...after 3 failed attempts to synch it finally found my TV...ok but still not sold...I have full control!! I am so pumped thanks so much!!! Super easy to use , very dummy proof for non tech savvy ppl such as myself..now I'm very sold!!

Could only get code by entering connect to mobile device under smart home. What is wrong with LG they keep creating apps and then abandoning them. You know what keeps customers happy, keep supporting their hardware and they'll come back when it dies, don't become like Sony.

It only works if the TV is already on, it's stupid, if I have to turn on the tv with the regular remote then what's the point?? Where's the app that was already programmed on my old LG G3 phone? That one was better but I guess no love for Samsung? I got a Samsung phone and an LG smart TV cmon, improve this app please.

It worked like a charm few months back. I haven't used it for a while until recently. Guess what? Now it does not detect my smart tv at all although it is connected to the same wifi network. May be something is wrong with the updated version, if there was any.

Sometimes connects but mostly doesn't, iphone always connects. Says check power of TV yet the pairing box always appears on the TV screen! TV 47LM649T-ZA. Working again. Not connecting again, yawn! Fed up of this, failing to connect again even though pairing box appears on TV. Useless! Another update stops it working. Deja Vu Screen capture back, would be even better if you could capture short video clips.

Worked fine with my xperia z and iphone 5, but now I have an xperia z3, and it will not connect at all, even though I'm using the Internet on the TV. Getting a tad impatient as my little girl decided to throw my smart remote in the dogs water bowl. Please sort this issue. Will rate 5 stars when it is resolved

My major problem is the capture screen and share feature. I can capture an image of whatever is currently on my TV. I used to hit the share button and receive a list of apps that I could share through (FB, Messenger, Gmail, Messages, etc...). Now, every time I try to share it defaults to FB Messenger with no prompting. I tried finding the app in the settings to change it but no dice. Otherwise it works great for what it is.

This app needs a keyboard option so badly. Typing letter to letter. Up, down and across and suffering typos when searching Netflix / YouTube is and has always been painful.

Dear team, appreciate your efforts put in building this application. I can now watch tv frm the comfort of my bedroom through wifi on my smartphone's without wasting my internet bandwidth. Although this app is not working with my Micromax tab p 650 & every time it connects to the tv it pops out error message "Unfortunately Lg TV Remote has stopped." & that's it. Rest all functions work fine. The tab is 2-3 years old & runs on Android 4.2.1 jelly bean. Kindly fix this problem & I'll rate this app 5 *****.

I've got an LG smart TV that came with a magic controller,which is cool but seems limited sometimes. This app has very good features but doesn't feel like a good remote and a lot of the time the mouse pad controls are too annoying to fiddle with especially when trying to edit settings.

Great app. I would give it 5 stars but there's only 1 thing missing. If this app had the ability to use your smartphone/tablet keypad when you have to type in searches, email address, usernames or passwords it would be perfect.

It works better than the remote pre-installed on my G4. I would have given 5 stars but it's lacking one thing. Really LG you couldn't put a power button on it? The pre-installed has it.

App works once after first install. Tablet/ phone pairs with the TV just fine. Next time I turn on the TV and try to use the app, it says it cannot find find any TV. Does not help to uninstall app. When it works, it is great, but since it works only once it is essentially useless.

Initially impressed. The apps mouse helped move round various screens in a way that our remote cannot. However, the app for the internet was a huge big fail. Can type web addresses but no way to press 'return'/'go'. The scroll wheel worked intermittently, so ended up using the original TV remote to navigate, makes a big part of this app pointless. No ability to turn the sound off on the phone's tv player. Had to mute the phone. LG these are simple things. In BBC player app the mouse completely disappears.

After type a search on youtube, when you move the pointer with the app, everything typed is gone. Did you give a try at the samsung smart tv and app? Maybe you devs learn one thing, or two.

Worked when I used a simple digital box. No longer works when I hooked up the HD box." cannot display second screen..." can't find any help or solution. Useless app now.

I like the idea of this app, however there's a few major flaws to it. One: there should be an on phone keyboard for ease of use. Two: when using smart functions like Netflix etc there should be standard play, fast forward, rewind, pause buttons etc. Three: TV has to be on before the app or it doesn't register the connection. This means that you have to use the normal remote to turn it on then put it down and start using this app. These issues make using this app pointless as is.
