LG Mobile Switch (Sender)

Worked after a while but transferred all of the text messages from my old device & deleted all of the new ones. Very upsetting. I send myself text messages to remind me of important info. Should come with a warning to backup your info before the transfer or do it automatically for you.

I literally can't ever transfer anything from my old phone to my new G6, repeatedly says I have no room left in the new phone, and I have 20 gbs left, and I'm only transferring 4 gbs! Terrible.. Take some notes from samsung smart switch!

Tried transferring data from my LG Stylo to my Stylo 2 after 2 other options wouldn't work. This did not work either after making sure I read everything multiple times. Very frustrating and disappointing

After an hour, still at 11%. I would have transfer my files the good ol way if I had knew. Now I can't cancel it, can't use my phone until it's done. This app is a shame.

Transfered all of my data, and most apps worked but a few needed to be reinstalled. Also required a fair bit of free storage space to conduct the wireless data transfer - more than double what was being copied. Overall, it was more than adequate, but could have been better.

This app is a shame for lg its a bullshit it just not do anything spent ours on it and it reach 100% and simply say unsuccessful , nightmare

Just kept saying that it could not connect when trying to transfer data from my HTC desire to my LG K20. I had to transfer all my contacts manually, this app did not help at all.

Did what all the others claimed they would & could do! This one moved EVERYTHING from my old phone to my LG STYLO 2 in just a few short minutes! Love it!❤

I have the previous version "LG Backup (Sender)" and it works excellently great. I just recently used it to transfer data from old LG phone to newest LG one without any app problems [except for me having too much data on my phone and app couldn't transfer all of it at one time, which was perfectly fine with me]. I don't understand why LG is changing it's name [it "backs up" your data then "sends it" to the other device just like the now previous name says] & changing app nor why people are complaining, they probably don't know how to work the simple to use app. I've also used it with other phones without issues. So, I WON'T be updating it. Not into fixing something that ain't broke!

I REALLY wanted this to work so that I didn't have to lose everything switching to my new v20. However the app is 100% unusable. Try to backup over wifi and it crashes at 100, if backing up apps. Try to backup to sd or internal storage and it does the same. Try to backup over OTG cable. Impossible because the app on the v20 doesn't even have that option (And there is no way to update it. ). I've spent 7 hours dealing with it and I'm done. This program just doesn't do the job.

I transferred about 2GB of information to my new phone from the old one, now it is saving to the new phone. It has been saving for about an hour and is at 12% currently. Not sure if this is the app or the LG G5 causing issues, but it would have been faster for me to manually transfer everything. Now it won't let me use my phone at all until it's done. I can't turn it off or lock my screen or anything. If I had known this I would not have done it at this time. I need to make a phone call, but can't.

Transferring from Note 7 to V20. Transfer stopped a few times but finally got everything to the new phone. Now, however, it seems to be saving said files at a snails pace and won't let me use my phone while it is saving. This is very frustrating.

Just doesn't work. Trying to transfer data from my Nexus 6 to my v20 and it never starts the transfer. It just says connecting for a few minutes and then prompts me to download this app, which I'm already using...

I downloaded this app before on a friends phone a few months ago and it worked perfectly. Now I downloaded it on my Samsung S4 and my LG beat 3 and it doesn't give me a receive option on amy of the phones. Can someone please advise?

Note 7 to V20 transfer went flawlessly. I am scratching my head as to how and why anybody would have trouble with this app. It is stupid-proof.

On T mobile. Transferred everything from g3 to v20 over WiFi ( took a few tries as it kept timing out) but would not transfer the stock g3 browser or bookmarks....I have so many open tabs and bookmarks and I don't want to lose them

V20 can't even see my 6P when using the wireless option, and when using USB OTG the V20 doesn't even have the option unless you're on iOS. What?!?! Wow. Fix the app, so many people came over after the Note 7 fiasco and now they're regretting not getting an S7 or Pixel.

Used this app to backup up apps before changing ROMs. While it did backup and restore the apps, no app data was restored. Useless.

Trying to move data from an htc one to g5. Htc can see the g5, g5 can't see the htc. Did every possible combination of starting configurations etc (wifis, bluetooth etc on off) no luck.

Why did LG develop an app that works so poorly on their own devices. It just keeps saying it stopped and won't even open.

Keeps crashing. Does not work. Don't waste time with this. Not a fan of LG.

Did not work for Samsung S7 to LG V20. Get error that there is not enough space to transfer (approx. 6 GB of files, media, etc.). Obviously space isn't the issue.

Not as reliable as smart switch is for Samsung, but worked just fine none the less. Not sure where all the bad reviews are coming from.

Wireless transfer did not work at all, the 2 phones just kept saying they could not connect. Then tried backing up from sd card, that worked for some data but when it came to apps it just said "backup unsuccessful" with no other explanation. Not a very good introduction to my new LG phone.

As other reviewers state, transferring less than 00 mb data wirelessly. Moved over quickly, but takes forever on lg g5. Wish I could stop it but it is locked and cannot be halted. If u are reading, just type your contacts in yourself!

Finally gave my note 7 back and got the V20. Flawless transfer from Note 7 to V20. Everything transferred. And worked fast. I don't get why anyone is having issues when the directions are easy enough for a 3rd grader to follow.

Installed this app on my Samsung S4 and tried connecting it to my new LG G4. It failed to send data via the Send data wirelessly option. Just opted to send data to SD card option and transfered data to the G4 successfully.

Tried to transfer info to my new Stylo 2, but it never connected even with restarting both phones.

This has been the biggest waste of space on my phone. If I could give this no stars I absolutely would. Just trying to move data from my G3 to my G4 was impossible. The backup over WiFi took 4 hours to "complete" and it didn't even move anything. So I tried again using an SD card. Same result. Meanwhile the entire time your phone is trying to back up its a brick. Absolutely unusable. 0/10 would not recommend even to my worst enemy.

Went through the entire strip cycle and transfer from one phone to the other, took about 40 minutes. Got the transfer complete confirmation! Nope! Nothing/Nada transferd..
