IMPORTANT TIP: Before using your Remote make sure your DIRECTV receiver is set up properly. Go to your DIRECTV receiver’s MENU, then select Settings & Help > Settings > Whole-Home > Eternal Device. Make sure “External Access” and “Current Program” are set to Allow.
Remote control requires a Wi-Fi connection to your home network and a DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR (models R22, Genie, HR20 or higher) connected to the same network. Remote control is also available with HD receivers (models C31, H21 and higher).

Its a good concept just doesn't work. I put my IP Address, reset my boxes and internet settings but nothing. Needs to be updated and if its not going to be resolved at least deliver an update to all the phones so we can uninstall the app.

Follow the in app instructions. They are very simple. Just input your receivers IP address. But when you do it will tell you its not valid. Waste of space.

Put in the IP address, searched & found the box only for it not 2 work. Hard 2 believe AT&T would put their logo on a useless app. Make sure it works b4 launching your apps.
