I had all the issues everyone experiencing, but I took it back to AT&T and they exchanged it for a new one no questions asked. New one works perfectly! The module is great for anyone who uses their phone to take photos and record videos. But the best part is it significantly increases the battery life. I switched from the Note 5 because the battery life was terrible. G5 is my fave phone by far.

You should enable the LG CAM PLUS to access the USB device for you to be able to use it. I had the same problem before. Good thing I read these helpful tips in here. So first, turn off device, then connect the LG CAM PLUS, turn on, then when you go to your LG CAM PLUS app (if u have none, go to LG FRIENDS of ur LG G5 and it will prompt u to download it from google play), it will ask you if u will let it access the usb device then press yes. Hope it helps!

this is the first time i ever hated this phone. it just wouldn't recognize the cam plus (does on lg friends but not elsewhere). it won't show the usb option either. cam plus used to work just fine once it's plugged in but now nothing works. very frustrating. what's worst no troubleshoot available anywhere. best one i could find was one of the reviews of this app but still no help for me.

When I try turning off my phone with the cam plus attachment installed on the phone while charging all it does is reboot the phone and keeps the phone on.... but if I unplug it from charging I'm able to turn it off.... Is this a glitch or a factory setting.... Please fix

Every time I attempt to use this it just flashes red on the led indicator no information about what this means. Would love to use this but it doesn't do anything.

I'm having no luck with this device. This device with the camera plus has been fully charged overnight, however the camera is still blinking red. Sadly I have also attempted to connect this device with the cam Plus to a PC and still no luck. Disappointed.... I switched from Samsung to this. Please fix it.

I didnt know like i need to charge the cam plus before using. After charging it for a while, it work like magic!

Plug it to a computer or laptop ..then after a few seconds ,unplug it ...you'll see ,it will already work .. :)

The most important notice that LG forget to remind the consumer is to charge the device after taking it out of the box. It can be mistaken as defective if you use it for the first time and did not charge it. And the next second important thing is to allow the device to your USB plug. This handy add on works flawlessly as physical buttons for the camera and an added juice through its power bank-ish features.

I ran into similar issues issues installing. I have the 700 on a Verizon G5. I plugged in mod and checked for software updates in phone settings, there is an update. I found some tips on androidcentral that was a big help. Works great, makes the device twice the weight, but I think it will do well.

I thought i had a defective LG Cam at first. The instruction manual is not well written. I finally figured out by trial and error that i had to charge the Cam device overnight while it was attached to the phone. The LED went from red to green in the morning and i was able to use the module. After it was charged i had to make sure the phone recognized the attachment. I will be candid, the only advantage i see with this cam module is the extra battery life.

After reading many reviews I figured I would be in for a headache. I did some research , followed the instructions and boom. I got a nice grip for my phone( I have big clumsy hands) , an add on battery

I can say that LG's modules can be almost be classified as "Disposable" I've got 3 cam plus units dead (not to mention the month long wait to get it replaced) take note the module never left my phone and its being charged as soon as the battery levels drop around 30%. so.. we're paying $70 for this POS and LG is just pretending that nothing is wrong and just kept their mouths shut.

I installed all apps and restarted the phone numerous times. It keeps telling me the device is not attached. I see many have the same issue. LG should take it off the market and fix all this.

The cam plus device isn't recognized. The app won't go beyond the first page. A pity for such a nice phone ((

Before using the app you should charge the LG Cam Plus until the light turn green. Allow the app to access the usb device too.

Won't recognize or detect that I have the LG Cam Plus attached no matter what I do.

Read online tips how to start using this module. First you need to full charge it while attached to your phone of course together with the regular batt. Install camplus manager from play store. And the rest is up to you. Your welcome.

It won't charge your phone unless your constantly pressing buttons on the camera grip, it should just be a constant recharge with an on and off option and not if ur using the camera or not

Usb device must be allowed before updating? Wtf. This is garbage... Can't find anything anywhere and can't use it
