Lezyne GPS Ally v2 for Android
Using this app with a recently purchased macro unit. Worked fine for about a month, now it flakes every ride. Will not stay paired. Tried the fix that lezyne has on YouTube. No luck. Hope they correct, because the GPS is a good unit.
Super GPS would not pair to phone.
Since latest update (in conjunction with firmware update for unit) the app is draining huge amounts of battery in the background. App is also not connecting to GPS unit properly. Keep getting an error "... Make sure your device is working properly" even though it is. Can't update Strava live segments etc
Full of bugs which make it difficult or impossible to keep the GPS device paired with sensors and with my phone. I've applied two firmware updates and see little improvement.
App has been very wonky lately. Will not stay connected to phone for alerts. Have to pair manually most times. When trying to upload rides the app will crash every time and go to a black screen, then I have to wait until it prompts me to restart app. Used to be very solid and worry free; now not so much.
Specifically bought this computer to see text message notifications. I have tested the notifications and they technically work but the pairing seems to die shortly after going out. I have yet to actually get a notification while riding. Now, the latest update it seems my phone can see the GPS but cannot connect. I have a smart watch that stays connected 24/7 and shows notifications so I'm doubtful the problem is with my phone. I wish I could return the device but I gave it too much of a benefit of the doubt so now it's been too long.
Since updating to this app the bluetooth synch does not work. It pairs with the device but when I dowload rides it says "something went wrong" Tried everything in your support section as well as re-installing. Still does not work. My device is now useless because I cannot upload my rides. My device has the newest firmware loaded V5.40
I bought this for nav functions, which barely work. The app is buggy and the UI is awkward and confusing. Worse, this app tells the Lezyne unit to turn onto streets that do not exist (the streets even do not not exist on the map in the app), does not reroute promptly or well when off track, directions regularly show up way too early or late to be useful, does not provide preferences for routing options (e.g. flattest, steepest, shortest, or fastest route), directions can be confusing, etc. Some of this may be the Lezyne unit and some the app, but between the two this was a disappointing purchase.
Have been using this app for about 3 months with my Macro computer, and on the whole it connected to my phone instantly apart from one occasion where I had to pair it again other than that it's always connected and synced with strava straight away. I do have one niggle, more with the computer, on an indoor trainer you cannot upload a indoor ride to strava, when I did, the app had the correct data as shown on my computer, but when I check strava it was miles out and I was using a speed/cadance sensor, on the garmin computers there is a setting for indoor trainers and this allows the correct data to be synced, maybe lezyne will sort this in a firmware update. On the whole very happy with the app and computer. It nearly does the same as a garmin but a lot cheaper.
Map type open cycle map doesn't work - no mapping. Would be nice to plot an off road route. The new auto sync is very hit and miss.
Useless app, make the brilliant Lezyne head unit a paperweight as won't download rides. Keep giving it the benefit of the doubt as I love the Enhanced Super GPS head unit, but it only work 1 in 10 times, and that's after restarting device and phone, disconnecting and re-connecting bluetooth all a number of times, really flaky.
Its ok like the new fonts on the device (enhanced super). But lately it won't open after a ride unless I restart my phone Sony Z5 compact I' ve done the re-install and forget the Bluetooth and pair uup again. What can I try next?
phone (pixel) and unit (super enhanced GPS) keep losing connection since app and firmware update. multiple requests to pair phone and unit during ride which is very irritating.
So sick of this device and app! Never stays connected and now won't connect at all. False advertising - it has never performed as described.
The uploads from my Super GPS to my Samsung Galaxy S5 are agonizingly slow. It takes several minutes to upload a two hour ride.
Crashing when riding, requires phone reboot to to restart it. Can't use tracking features as a result. Disappointing. Samsung S7
My elevation is way out anyone else having this problem its not reading enough then when i download to app the app changes it and it becomes even lower
Same as everyone else, new update made the app un able to pair with phone, strava, or anything else useful. Major bummer on a device that was working fine for me BEFORE
Endless Bluetooth loops! App frequently gets stuck in a loop asking you to enable Bluetooth (which is already enabled). The only fix is to force close the app and try again. Also, the mapping function is frustratingly limited: you can ONLY plan a route from your current location to a place with an address, and you have no control over intermediate waypoints. The route planning is essentially worthless because of these limitations.
Not the simplest interface, need to update unit with the app, only niggle with both is you can't have the backlight on constantly at night
DOESN'T WORK ON 5.0 AND UP. Works on one of my phones running android 6.0.1 but will not install on the phone i actually need it on which is running 5.0.1. Useless app in my case, which will mean the Cycle computer i have just bought will be going back as well. Looks like i'll have to follow the mainstream and go with Garmin products :(
App is so and so, the big problem is display quality, glare and hard to read
I'm having one problem with this app, when I select run on my watch it downloads to the app as a ride I then change it on the app to a run but when you sync it with strava it goes back to a ride again and once again you have to manually change it so you loose all your pbs for 5k etc as they aren't registered, be good if you could fix this as it would then make it better then my TomTom multi sport I had previously, if that gets fixed I'm happy to make a 5star review
Doesn't connect to phone so pretty pointless.
Used to be a great app now my super GPS won't upload my rides tried everything back to Garmin I think .
App crash constantly. Needs to be sorted
Please solve this cannot login to Strava account through Google account showing error 403 disallowed agent
Bad sync with phone
The GPS works great, but the app seems to get hung up while connected to the device during a ride. The only way to reconnect is to force the app to stop and restart it. A bit time consuming and interferes with the live tracking feature.
I love the Leyzne Enhanced Super GPS unit but it's let down by the third leg in the trinity; the Ally app. I have a Samsung S6, the app won't link to Strava. I get as far as the authorize box then it goes no further. I have tried uninstalling several times with no success. Yes I can upload to Strava the old fashioned way by wiring up to my pc, but that defeats the purpose of the app. I'm awaiting a reply from Leyzne via email. I trust they can help.
Latest update is crashing during a ride. App won't close or load without phone restart and then needing a reconnect via Bluetooth.
A great concept, but the Bluetooth will not stay connected yo my phone for more than the first minute of a ride.
If you are just trying to keep track of your miles, this GPS device and app are okay. The last few updates have caused small irritations that turned into big disappointments: having to pair phone every time I want to use the app, deleting downloaded gpx files, changing my screen settings, and something else...app has minimal info and didn't compare to the data Endomondo creates when I run or bike. It's too late to return the gps device so I deal with the app.
On lg g flex 2 does not send maps to device. Only time sent map to device was an imported gpx. certain Working fine on wifes Huawei. Hope it updates before i retun device. After updatind the phone to android 6.0 it seems that it resolved the issue. But still waiting for an update where you can download som routes to you phone to load them without the need of internet connection. For the moment it seems that I will keep the device.
BT no longer works with this version and the latest firmware. Fails to pair constantly with device rejecting BT connections. Sent BT debug info to Lezyne but no response and no fix as of Sep 5th. I hope they fix it because no no more changes are possible nor can the phone communicate while riding. It was an important feature for me to see texts and calls on my phone.
The app worked with my super GPS for a few rides and then the Bluetooth stopped connecting with my Android phone. Contacted Lezyne and they tried to help but in the end their response was that I had an unsupported phone. It works great with iPhones. It's cheaper then a Garmin....
Big improvements since I first started using it.
Slow transfer but does the job. Recent updates are cool.
I did the software update 2.66. Now impossible to pair my Macro GPS with my Android. Before the update, I was able to pair with my cell phone but had lot of problems with my Stages. Now the problems with the Stages seem to be fixed with the update. Software clearly not ready for the market. I had no problem with my previous Super GPS. Very disappointed by the new products.

Since the update my phone and device will not stay connected via Bluetooth. They link and then immediately fail. Get it sorted lezyne! Particularly as I have always needed to manually pair the device and my phone before every ride, it has never automatically connects.
