Hornet app will not activate drone. Wi-Fi does see it but no control of the drone whatsoever. Very disappointing

Well after much testing, I got it to work. The app from the store does not work, you have to download the apk from the net. The flip button does not work, but maybe thats because I am indoors? The app from the store would send the drone flying all by its self. How is that safe? I feel like these should be fixed. Now my drone is scratched up, not even by me.
