Edit: I've been fiddling with my phone and have figured out what went wrong with the app! It works now :) Thank you for the prompt offer for assistance! I agree with other commenters, background play would be very helpful. Love the app and the content!

Needs fixes. Background play is a MUST. Also anytime screen timeouts during pause it starts vids from beginning rather than memory of last pause. Could be MUCH better and hope to see changes when asking for a paid service. Free apps do this. Comparably priced apps do this. If you can't you will fall behind.

Requires screen being on all the time. I am listening to people talk. Why not just let me turn off the screen and listen? Fail from the outset. They did not think it through or the people who wrote the app just sold a clunky template to Levin. Do the people at CRTV ever use the services they sell? I wonder about these outlets that are basically Luddite and retrograde rather than conservative.

This app is ok over all. However, I wish you can listen while the phone screen is turned off. And, when I use the casting feature, it stops casting about every 10 to 15 minutes of video play. Have to hit the pause/play button every 9 minutes to keep it from shutting off. Other than these 2 things and a bug or 2, it's a good app.

Works most of the time as you'd expect. Sometimes resume doesn't work and the episode starts over at the beginning. Also occasionally get "episode is unavailable" message in app, but it will stream just fine from a browser on the same device.

As others have stated, background play is a must. Also, if it's been paused for a long duration (maybe 10 minutes?) When I turn my screen on and try to continue, it tells me I can't play subscriber content and I need to subscribe, even though I am still "logged in" according to the menu. I have to kill the app and reopen for it to see my credentials again. Needs a lot of work.

Randomly logs you out, must keep your screen on the app or else it will stop playing. Cross your fingers and hope it remembers where you left off. It provides great content, which is the most important thing, but don't expect a smooth experience.

This app's videos play some of the time, since they updated it in early February. No technical support, just a very nice apologetic customer service person. I'm able to play the the site videos through Chrome, so all's not lost. App needs some work!

Worth the money to watch these conservative commentators! The only thing I'd suggest app wise is to allow users the ability to lock their device and listen to audio only of the video being played.

What ever you did in the 9 February 2018 update, undue or fix. I can no longer watch what I pay for. Don't be like YouTube or Dtube

Since the last update to stream from cpac, I can't watch anything through the app, every try says video not available. Google pixel 2

This app totally needs to allow audio playing while the screen is off or while another app is in use. Granted I always have spare battery banks, but I would rather not use the app if I have less than 50% due to plain inconvenience. I tried the web site itself too, but that also doesn't allow playback via app change or screen being off. (Android 7.1.1).

Overall it's functional. Sadly I won't be using this app much because it lacks a download feature and my data plan is too slow to stream the content without Wi-Fi.

Paid for service but cant watch videos . . makes it kinda pointless :(

I don't watch any other news, except CRTV. I listen to some of the hosts on their talk shows.

Need to fix the app for Android OS. Won't play any videos.

Best common sense!

Content is amazing. But the app needs serious work. The picture freezes every couple minutes, You need to have the screen on and the video playing on screen to listen to the show, making it so you can't do anything else with your phone without it pausing and possibly sending you back to the beginning of the episode. Make it so you can have it running in the background so you can do other things with your phone or listen with the screen off.

This review is about the APP, not the content. The content is great. The app is not amazing. We could really use the ability to temporarily dl shows for offline use, and it would also be great if the shows wouldn't stop playing every time you leave the app. So... Downloads and the ability to turn your screen off and still listen, this would make it amazing! PS. I do love to watch the shows, but I don't always have time to just sit and watch.

The content on the CRTV app is very good however the app itself has much to be desired regarding its video streaming. The audio and video is constantly getting out of sync with each other. It will correct itself but then just a short time later, it's out of sync again. It's always an ongoing thing. If you all fix this, I'll change my rating.

This review is for the app. It's not terribly good. I became a member of Crowder's Mug Club and I enjoy it, however, the app could use some work. I'd like to see the ability to pick up where you left off; also, I see a tendency for the app to hang up. Even the Fire Stick version of this app sucks assholes.

5 stars if this app had a way to listen offlone. Bought the mug club subscription but now I feel cheated. If not fixed by end of my sub I will cancel

Five stars for the content. One star for this awful app. No background play. No offline mode. It doesn't even keep track of where you are in an episode. Phone must have screen on and dedicated to this app the entire time an episode is playing. If you minimize the app to check emails, you have to restart at the beginning of the episode. If your phone screen times out, you are resent back to the beginning. This is especially bad since the in-episode navigation is terrible. Also no Bluetooth controls. You can't pause the episode using headphones. This app is total garbage and is ruining my ability to enjoy the excellent content. Will not be renewing unless this is fixed.

This app is garbage. Does not handle live events, just crashes; won't even send you to the website in order to view a live event. Sometimes content won't load and the only answer you get from their customer service is, "it's a technical issue." Take your time and money elsewhere. Most of the content is available on YouTube for free a day or two after its released here.

This app is functional but missing some key features. The MOST important of which is the ability to watch off screen with a media player widget. I have to walk around with my phone in my pocket with the screen on and can't do anything else... :(

The show content is 5 stars. I watch/listen to it more than my television. I watch all the content on my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S8. The worst thing about this app is that when I pause the episode and go back later to continue watching the episode, it very rarely saves the exact spot I paused it in. This is extremely irritating. I have to skip around in the show to find the spot I stopped in, even if I had only paused it three minutes earlier. It often won't recognize that I had started that episode at all, and will start over. I honestly won't renew my subscription if this isn't fixed.

PLEASE ALLOW TO PLAY IN BACKGROUND! CRTV please listen I WILL BE CANCELLING MY SUBSCRIPTION! The worst part is I don't want to I love so many of people on this platform but like so many others I have barely consumed any of your content because doing so renders my phone otherwise useless and when I can't use other apps and kills my batt having to leave screen on. For a paid subscription I'm very disappointed. I've barely even been on CRTV because I need my phone. You're really shootin yourself in the foot here I'm a big fan and want to see the platform do well PLEASE look into fixing this I will probably pay for 1 more month in the hopes that you've fixed this and also as sort of a donation but after than I'm out.

Horrible app. No backround play, and can't watch crtv on my TV via Xbox, etc. So my phone is clogged up with video from crtv that stops playing if I want to use my phone for something else. Get with the times or get left behind.

Like most reviewers, I love the content and am dissatisfied with the app. It used to run a lot smoother and remembered where you left off, but now it's choppy, freezes often, gets out of sync, and sends you back to the beginning of you Paise and your screen shuts off. I will use some other option to get the content (can use the web) and will continue to subscribe, but PLEASE -- develop a better app!!

The ONLY reason im giving you 5 stars is because of Crowder. Could you add a media player widget to the app so we could listen to the audio versions of the show, it would be super terrific!! :)

Great content. I use it most often to cast Crowder to my Android TV, but it quits out every 15 minutes. Other than that it works fine.

Great content, terrible app. Constantly closes unexpectedly, and stops every 20 minutes or so after casting via Chromecast.

As everyone else says, content is great! App is awful! Background operation & offline viewing is a must have!

Allow offline access to the audio please. I rather not burn through my data. Great content, just not really data friendly to those who listen to this on the go.

Very disappointed that your app kept crashing when trying to watch the highly promoted SOTU. Was looking fwd to watching Andrew Wilkow host.

Content is top notch. Video quality is iffy and I don't think I've ever had an app use this much battery.

Now I'm giving 1 star the battery drain and data is crazy I've played psp games with less battery drain
