Just charge your phone or pair with a Bluetooth device when you enter your car and My Mileage logs your tax deductible mileage effortlessly and efficiently. If you have to manually enter data at every stop, then why not use pen and paper?
With blue tooth, you can configure My Mileage so that all you have to do is start driving. This works because Bluetooth devices will automatically reconnect when in the vicinity of a previously paired device which will kick on the GPS. Once the GPS detects you are over 20 MPH, My Mileage will start a log entry.
Take phone calls, listen to Pandora, My Mileage continues to record the mileage. My Mileage does not need to be the active application.

Email your data off the phone with all the receipt images and a nice spreadsheet.

Export
When you are ready, have My Mileage package all images, an Excel report, and a back up your data in a zip file.
Send the zip file to yourself, your accountant or your manager for expense reimbursement.

Caveats: Mileage accuracy depends on the quality of the phone's GPS, weather conditions, if the GPS has been on recently and where the phone is placed in the car. Mileage accuracy has been compared to other Google developed applications and My Mileage has similar accuracy. We are constantly trying to improve, so please email any problems.

At least once each week, the app will not start when the vehicle starts moving. Seems to happen randomly, often on my longer trips. Trying to decide if I should just discipline myself to write it out by hand. Working part time is worse than not working at all. Great app when it works. I saw a review of someone manually starting it but I don't see an option for it.

Tried it; really wanted it to work, but can't justify spending money on something that only works "on paper." GPS sonds cool, but was inaccurate and basically unusable. Hand entries were glitchy. Couldn't get the data in usable format. I'm back to my old paper system.

Great tool for tracking mileage but has occasional hiccups where GPS tracking stops without warning. Also is not selective about Bluetooth activity that triggers recording of mileage so sometimes you record "false trips". Overall it does what I need it to do most of the time. It's disappointing that the author does not appear to be making updates. It could be great.
