About POI Loader lite: Your POI's

Import, Export, View, Edit and Delete POI’s and POI files on Google Maps. Use it to simply save your Google Navigation places, save your points of interest, or create new and manage your existing POI files.

With the new POI Loader lite (v3.0+) csv POI files are no longer just read into memory and viewed on Google Maps, you can now manage your POI files on your Android device. POI Loader lite now imports your files into a local database so you can edit the files and points of interest in them as well as add new points of interest and create all new files and then export them back to an csv file you use on your GPS device.

No more limit to the number of POI’s in a file!

On first launch the application will have no files.

You can:
#1 - Create new files on the files screen.

#2 - Select csv files from a file browser and open them with POI Loader lite and import them to a new file.

# 3 - Email a csv file to yourself, download it and then open it via the Downloads app and select POI Loader lite to open the file and then import them.

#4 - Upload your files to your Dropbox account and open them from the Dropbox Android application and open with with POI Loader lite to import them.

The “lite” version limits the number of POI’s that can return in the view to 100, the number of POI’s allowed mapped to 200 and the number of files to 10. For the ability to return and map up to 10,000 POI’s, have unlimited files and remove adds please purchase the full version:

Good idea but bad performs. Flooded with adverts, to get rid of what they ask you to pay $14 something. 1/5.

Manually creating and saving a POI on doesn't seem to work at all. No wait, it does work, but it just doesn't make sense! Paddle shown on overlay map, but never sticks after hitting Done, it just disappears. Instead you need to click on the paddle icon again. Oh, and don't accidentally hit all those ads that almost covers the menu bar. And where is that CSV import export functions advertised in the description above? Unlikely anyone will stupid enough to spend money on the Pro version after trying this one. 2.8 MB for putting a pin on a map! No thanks. And why are Lat/Lon shown to 15 decimal places, when a GPS lock will never be better than ~5? Is it really accurate to subatomic scales?

I can build a file, and save it, but it saves the CSV file with the Cords in quotations. My Garmin won't recognize the data because of this.

Doesn't search comments. For the price of the pro I'd expect it to handle tom tom POI (or at least import them). Can't add your own icons. Time consuming to pick icon (no favorites and long list).. POI are sorted by name, no filtering and no sorting by distance, pin etc. Should be able to click on filename to change. Can only choose one poi file. Can't move POI. Should use "hamburger" for menu.

My tablet is not always connected to the net but I still want to maintain my poi. This crashes with no net access.

I will not be updating the app, don't agree with the new permissions requested, too intrusive for my liking. I installed the Lite for now in my Nexus 7 and it works as advertised, the only fault I find (should be easy fix) that the Map doesn't give the user options to change to Satellite view. Since the Nexus 7 doesn’t have a SD Card I created the folder in dropbox and it works just as well.

Wish it would allow me to select what routing/gps app I'd like to bring the POI in to. Opens in G maps which is native, but I prefer Waze.

Helps me find places that I enjoy visiting.

I hope they integrate car parking app. & this, combined into one great multi feature app. Making this app more useful and vehicle parking, quickly stored; this has the ability too manually mark & store various locations, which is good for a lot of situations.
