Lennox iComfort Wi-Fi

This app was fine until it suddenly started demanding access to my storage. Upon login, it now says "Allow iComfort access to your storage and try again." No. Why the hell does a thermostat need access to my contacts and photos?! Luckily I can click "cancel" and carry on, but if that changes, I will delete and report this app without a moment's hesitation.

I originally thought the app was very useful but now that the app demands full access to my phone, I won't use it again, nor would I ever recommend Lennox products ever again. The app worked just fine before without access to all the data on my phone and now it refuses to work at all without that access. It will be snowing in hell before I gave these people access when they are planning on sharing/selling my private data to someone. Great way to ruin a once good product. The app should be removed from the app store as an unnecessary security risk.

No problem with login as others have had. Simple app that is OK as long as I comfort servers are actually working. Icomfort has had serious problems with connecting over the years. It has improved, but still has times where it will connect to the Internet but not the server. This makes the AWAY function useless because you can't trust it to return to normal before returning home. Really bad to come home to a frigid house just because the thermostat server is down.

The app is antiquated with limited features where you only control the current temperature. One should be able to control all settings just as can be done on the wall unit. Can only change settings standing at the wall unit using its touch screen (rediculous).

This app is a joke. The only thing it's good for is to adjust temp up or down. Can not be used for programming or schedule adjustments. Compared to the Honeywell Total Connect Comfort, which we have in our 2nd home, this is by far a much inferior thermostat/app. Did not expect that from Lennox. What a shame.

Rarely ever shuts down the system when I'm away. Then if it does decide to work, it picks its own set points instead of what I programmed in.

Update: login issue has been fixed. Thank you!! Ran latest update and now I'm unable to login. I can use my I'd to login with a browser. The app is not authenticating correctly. Used to work fine until this update.

The app worked fine I'm until a few weeks ago. Now, the icons to turn the system on and off plus the fan control icon has disappeared from the app. I can only control the temperature from the app, and only when the system is already turned on at the wall.

This app doesn't work. It's very unresponsive, not intuitive and is too basic. The thermostat is ridiculous and not intuitive. The Nest thermostat and app were way better.

Why does the app suddenly need access to my device storage? I can't say no, it won't load functions now without allowing it. Also frequently says no Internet connection unless I'm at home on the home wifi, which defeats the purpose of remote access. Please fix the app.

This is a useful app but it constantly disconnects forcing a shutdown and relogin. Every other app is able to connect and stay connected. Lennox really needs to get the developers to handle this issue.

PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED! Worked perfectly until today!!! Can no longer access system from my phone. Before TODAY I would have given 4-5 stars, but now?????

Worked just fine until latest update. Now, can't connect to it. Very frustrating.

Update 3/22/2017: why does this app suddenly need access to apps, pictures, and "other files"? Very virus-like behavior and I think Lennox owes us an explanation. This app has a lot of connectivity problems. Changes that I make on my phone don't take often when I look at the thermostat, it's really quite annoying. This app needs updating and they need a server that can handle their number of customers. The reviews are terrible, so it's obvious that Lennox never reads these reviews. That doesn't say much about their company.

Does anyone test your updates before release? Makes Lennox appear as a rinky-dinky outfit. Fixed log-on issue within a day. Almost as good as testing before release.

Why on earth is it asking for access to media, pictures and files on my phone? Slow to make changes to thermostat.

Don't like this update. Annoying message window that has to be closed every time I access the app. Apparently because I denied access to contacts, photos, etc. Why would a thermostat control app need to access files and contacts? Seems very fishy to me.

Cant even login this is bs! The app worked then logged me out and no only desktop works!

Since the update I'm no longer able to shut the system off from my phone, so frustrating.

Despite my information being correct (tested on the website) I can't even log in. Guess spending 5 figures on a new system isn't enough to get a working app.

Unnecessary permissions. Also it doesn't properly refresh until I manually close and reopen it

Software to control thermostats is 2nd class. Waste of money and very expensive for what u get.

It's absolute trash. Updated 1 month ago and basically quit working.

The program and fan are sqeezed on 1080p screen. Has anyone test the interface????

the 2 cool/heat wheel settings on bottom screen does not seem to reflect whats set on the thermostat. There is also no logout function on the tablet version which is on the phone version. If you changed your login password, the app complains there is no internet connection. Rebooting the device does not help either. Only fix was to uninstall/reinstall app. More work needs to be done on this app but great start for Lennox.

Latest release on 3/21/2017 has issue with login. Then when I want to reset my password it takes me to a fieldtrialconsumer url. Then it tells me my account is not setup with my email address. Worked OK when I had a Droid Turbo phone. I was able to get to the settings and turn on/off manual mode and programs. Now I have a Galaxy S7 and I no longer have access to the settings tab. Not very good when you can't access your programs.

Was working perfectly fine until today (3/21/17) when the latest update came across. Now i am not able to log in at all.

Was fine until today's update now I can't log in reset or anything should have left it alone
