Alliance représente tous les grades du corps d’encadrement et d’application, du gardien de la paix au major. Il représente aussi tous les métiers, paix publique, investigation, police aux frontières et CRS, Compagnies Républicaines de Sécurité. Alliance Police Nationale est également le premier syndicat à créer l’Unité Police Gendarmerie par des outils de communication qui s’adressent aux deux forces de sécurité : la police nationale et la gendarmerie nationale réunis depuis 2004 au sein du Ministère de l’Intérieur. Alliance a été le syndicat majoritaire de 2003 et 2006. Aujourd’hui, il est la seconde force syndicale avec 38% et plus de 30000 adhérents.

Alliance dispose également d’une section « action sociale » afin de répondre à toutes les interrogations liées aux aléas de la vie privée et professionnelle ainsi qu’un pôle juridique en lien avec un cabinet d’avocat pour répondre aux problématiques qui se posent face aux réformes imposées par le Ministère de l’Intérieur .
