NieR: Automata is based war between machine and humans. Specially made bots by YoRHa, are destined to clear the machine invaders on planet earth so that humans can return back from the moon. You will control 2B the protagonist, a female bot. This combat game has ample of weapons to load, gears and special abilities that can be traded inside the quest. There are access points that act as crucial save game points, fast travel and respawn location. You can also gather various items, and trade them for upgrades.

Another unique part of this game is its different storyline. At the beginning, you play as 2, a YoRHa android destined to serve humanity and fighting rogue machines on planet earth. Next is 9S a companion of 9S with a different ending and A2 a fugitive android who has a guest appearance in 2B's campaign. These new story lines are unlocked when you finish the first campaign. You can use the Save Slots to add them as different markers. With some changes, the game follows a linear path. Whatever you had played in 2B's campaign will also be part of 9S.
