Run Africa

Run Africa is a 13 month solo run from Cairo (Egypt) to Cape Town (South Africa) covering 12,000km across 10 countries in 396 days in other to raise money, to support projects, to improve life and create opportunities for people in Africa particularly children and thereby reduce poverty.
To achieve these objectives Run Africa partnered with three (3) charities
• Warwick in Africa: Providing and enhancing good quality education in Africa, thereby reducing poverty
• World Bike Relief: Providing bicycle to improve access to education, healthcare and economic opportunities
• Water Aid: Providing water, sanitation, and hygiene education there by reducing poverty
The above charity organisations have visions and objectives that align with Run Africa. While the run start in 1st August 2016, 30 to 40km will be covered per day with some breaks to visit projects and border crossings.
There is also opportunity for people to join the run for a week, a country or the whole venture (if they are mad enough!).Support will be required including a vehicle and/or medic, together with accommodation, technology, kit, immigration etc.
