About WI Career Pathways
Career Explorers begin their exploration by selecting a cluster from their My Clusters list. Each one provides a brief definition, a knowledge and skills statement, linked resources (videos, learning objects, websites), and available pathways. When someone selects a pathway, they can research a variety of topics including: possible careers, the needed postsecondary education and training (i.e., apprenticeship, certificates, technical diploma, associate degree, bachelor’s degree and beyond), and Career Pathway roadmaps. The roadmaps graphically correlate education and careers. They show the potential jobs available at each level of education.
Each career screen provides a brief description, the average national salary, the level of education obtained by those currently in the field, and a link to the career webpage on the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development’s WORKnet and the U.S. Department of Labor’s My Next Move websites.
Career explorers can save pathways, potential professions, colleges, postsecondary programs and roadmaps to their My Locker.
