Numenera Character Creator

Great for pregens if you run games at conventions. Would be fantastic if I could have folders for groups of characters. I can no longer print characters. I'm using a Galaxy S 7.

Clunky, doesn't auto calculate combined features from different features, locks up, crashes, often won't respond to button presses. When printing to pdf it won't allow rename of the file or even warn of overwrite.

I used to love this program, but since the January 2016 update, I've been unable to restore my previous purchases. Also, there's been no update to the content leaving the app woefully behind the game itself. I wish I could get a refund, but it's been far too long.

When I click the print button it won't actually print. Nothing happens. What's up?

Pressed New -> Standard and proceeded to watch the loading wheel spin for 10 minutes before closing the app. I still can't create a character in this app. Running on stock Android 7.0.

Pressing any button just makes the app display a loading screen. The app never progresses pay that point.

Broken

As others have mentioned, the app is not currently functioning.

... But it won't work on my Moto X Play!! Like others have said, the menus won't populate! Also, my phone's back button doesn't work in ap. Also, I love the idea of this and hope you can get it fixed. I love Numenera!!

Then I found I couldn't actually create any new characters - the drop down lists didn't populate with any options!

Characters are "trapped" on the app to the lack of any export/share function and the Print option creates a black page with nothing on. As an character manager its OK but I was really hoping for something I could use to print off character sheets for my group. Until the print option is fixed I cannot do this so its usefulness is greatly reduced. Edit: The last update fixed the printing issue. Characters now print properly. However an export/share function is a valuable that's still missing.

Whenever you press a button the app glitches and stops.

Not sure of the product is supported any longer. Still has bugs from last update (June or July 2015)

Base is ok....but adding the Character Options is not really worth the $. Adds pick lists, but no details on your sheet....which is useless. It says to "manually add" these.....so, what am I paying for?

Most of them don't work properly and don't update your character, you get stuck with the Core book even if you bought the extra packs.

Drop downs no longer work, making character creation impossible.

The dropdowns don't appear to work consistently on a Galaxy s6. That's disappointing for an "official" app.

I'm on a Nexus 6, from what I can tell the app is fairly stable but when I try to print I get an aspect-ratio appropriate gray block rather than anything readable. As this seems to be the only method to export characters this seems a rather major flaw. I will revisit my review on each subsequent update to see if this changes.

The base app is solid, but when buying the Character Options addon, it doesn't include ANY of the new character type tier options (Glaive fighting moves such as Over watch or Quickdraw for example.) The app only adds the new descriptors and Foci. $1.99 per buyer for only 30 seconds of programming on their end. Please fix this.

I love this. It's absolutely useful for quick references of stats and objects while playing. One thing that would be fantastic is a page for notes. Just a big old text edit block where I can add Contacts I've made, information I've gathered, etc. over the course of play. Thanks for this.

I can't manually adjust the additional points on a recovery roll. I spent my XP for 2 additional pts. Should be 1d6+x, but can't change it. Nor can I add add shims.

I thought it would be much cooler

I imagine some great possibilities for this app. needs a creator mode with the ability to enter custom foci and descriptors, using new entries or previously entered custom abilities. Someday it needs to allow sharing of finished characters too. to encourage players to use it more. Small bug: selecting jack in step 1, going to step 2 and return to step 1 change you're previously selected Edge. observe stat pool saying "nan"

Does not have any if the stuff from the character options book. Does not give descriptions of anything just page references. Not Wirth the 2.99 I had to spend to even check it out.

Performance is now acceptable. The in app purchase of the Character Options supplement is awful. Data does not auto populate like the corebook options do making character creation a chore.

A couple of the broken things were fixed in the last update, so it's somewhat usable, but it still needs work. For example, there's no way to exit the app. You have to either use your task switcher or the home button.

Some bugs after the update on the core app. The new books are now supported but as paid updates.

Still only has options from the corebook and is seldom updated. Kind of a pointless app at this stage.

Loved Numenera. Bought this. Booted it up. Buttons stared slack-jaw off into space as I groped them fruitlessly with my fat fingers, refusing to even acknowledge my existance. Uninstalled the app two shakes of a head later. Disappointed with your programmers and artists.

Character options has been out for ages... Pretty sad that some free Web based creation apps can add it and this one I paid for cannot...

Looks relatively good Drop down menus are sometimes OK, sometimes sluggish, sometimes simply not responding (on a Galaxy Notes 12 Pro - not a old tablet at all). Fix it up and it goes up one star. Also missing are the Character Options. Fix this and it goes up another star.
