القبر هو تلك الحفرة الضيِّقة التي لا أنيسَ بها ولا جليس، ولا صديق ولا سمير، اللهمَّ إلا عمل صالح قدَّمه الميت قبل وفاته، فهو أنيسٌ في قبره، ومُزيل وحشته في رمسه. القبرهو مِعْوَل هدم الرؤوس والأبدان، وبيت الهوام والديدان، ومسيل الصديد والدماء، ومحط البلى والفناء. القبر إما روضة من رياض الجَنَّة، أو حفرة من حفر النار، وإما دار كرامة وسعادة، أو دار إهانة وشقاوة.
