About Kisah Para Nabi
Nabi dan Rasul adalah manusia-manusia pilihan yang bertugas memberi petunjuk kepada manusia tentang keesaan Allah SWT dan membina mereka agar melaksanakan ajaran-Nya. Ciri-ciri mereka dikemukakan dalam Al-Qur’an, "... ialah orang-orang yang menyampaikan risalah-risalah Allah. Mereka takut kepada-Nya dan mereka tiada takut kepada seorang (pun) selain kepada Allah. Dan cukuplah Allah sebagai pembuat perhitungan." (Q.S. Al Ahzab : 39).
Perbedaan antara Nabi dan Rasul adalah : seorang Nabi menerima wahyu dari Allah SWT untuk dirinya sendiri, sedangkan Rasul menerima wahyu dari Allah SWT guna disampaikan kepada segenap umatnya. Para Nabi dan Rasul mempunyai 4 sifat wajib dan 4 sifat mustahil, serta satu sifat jaiz, yaitu :
1.Shiddiq (benar), Mustahil ia Kizib (dusta).
2.Amanah (dapat dipercaya), mustahil Khianat (curang).
3.Tabliqh (Menyampaikan wahyu kepada umatnya), Mustahil Kitman (menyembunyikan Wahyu).
4.Fathonah (Pandai/cerdas), Mustahil Jahlun (Bodoh).
5.Bersifat jaiz yaitu Aradhul Basyariyah (sifat-sifat sebagaimana manusia).
Sebenarnya jumlah keseluruhan nabi dalam Islam sebanyak 124 ribu orang, dan yang diangkat sebagai rasul adalah sebanyak 312 orang (Hadits sahih riwayat At-Turmuzy) tapi yang disampaikan secara jelas dalam Alqur’an adalah 25 orang, yaitu :

25.Nabi Muhammad SAW Prophets and Messengers are the chosen people who gave instructions to the man in charge of the oneness of Allah and nurture them to carry out His teachings. Their traits expressed in the Qur'an, "... are those that convey treatises God. They were afraid of him and they were not afraid of a (any) other than Allah. And Allah is sufficient as a maker calculation." (Q.S. Al Ahzab: 39).
The difference between the Prophets and Messengers are: a Prophet received revelation from Allah for himself, while the Apostle received revelations from Allah in order to be delivered to all his people. Prophets and Apostles have 4 properties are required and 4 nature is impossible, as well as the properties allowed but not required, namely:
1.Shiddiq (true), it is impossible Kizib (lie).
2.Amanah (trustworthy), treasonous impossible (cheaters).
3.Tabliqh (Delivering revelation to his people), Impossible Kitman (hide Revelation).
4.Fathonah (Smart / intelligent), Impossible Jahlun (Stupid).
5.Bersifat allowed but not required that Aradhul Basyariyah (nature as human beings).
Actually, the total number of prophets in Islam as much as 124 thousand people, and appointed as messengers are as many as 312 people (authentic Hadith history of At-Turmuzy) but delivered clearly in the Qur'an is 25, namely:
