RacquetTune for Android
I think the application is a great concept, but I am not sure how to get the app to read / pickup the frequency using a droid. I've adjusted the mic, used an external mic, but will not read anything other than 11.9 lbs. I've used different objects to tap the strings with as well, but no dice. Lo siento.
I am unable to modify notes in history. Also same functios would be nice as in iOS version.
I use the app in Iphone about two yaears and it was good. I bought the Android version, and its very poor with compare with Ios version. No data base strings...etc.... Android version very poor. Why?
Good concept but you can't export/import the measurements which I've lost during sideloading the OS. Also where are all those iOS functions?
Didn't work on pure drive with muffled sound
Very accurate readings. Usually within 0.5 lbs after taking the racquet off the stringer. Make sure to put racquet and string info in properly and it works great.
Doesn't work with my Galaxy 5 phone :(
Doesn't work. Refunded immediately.
It does not work. 3 days trying to get it to work and nothing. Tried 7 different raquets and nothing.
Does not work
Do not work. Try with two same model racquets with different strings. Reading not reliable, depending which model I choose it will follow the same history reading as the difference strings setting.
Tried it multiple times and have tweaked the settings, but still have not been able to get any results
Well worth the $2. Works fine with Droid Turbo putting app sound sensitivity on max. Tested on a racquet immediately upon stringing. Accurate in being consistent with my other racquets when testing my perceived pitch differences.
Readings come in sporadically and never in range.
Just downloaded this and used on racquet that hadn't been restrung for 6 months. App tells me 42lbs tension. Now 45 mins after a restring to 57lbs, the app reads 61 lb, so pretty good. Should be useful for tracking gradual fall in tension.
Don't waste your money or your time..after spending 30 minutes making every possible setting ..and using external mikes.. out of frequency. . Finally I started using anything not even strings... out of frequency. .. BS app..
Works great on a Motorola Moto G. Had to adjust the microphone sensitivity upward so it would pick up a good tone and then it worked great! This is excellent for keeping track of changes in string tension over time. Although I didn't expect this app to give me a true, absolute tension value, the reading is very close to my actual strung tension (59 strung vs 56 measured). Used screwdriver head, spoon, and an ink pen to strike the stings with identical readings.
never ever buy this apps. this isnt worth even for free. it will always give you output of "out of frequency". adjust all settings and still the same. changed devices and still same.
String outside of frequency. Does not work, even in very quiet place
Never got a reading in my first hour of use, need to hit pretty hard and until you got a reading. Dont forget to put your raquet head size in the proper units
Never used the ios version but this one seems to work just fine for me.
Complete waste of time. Doesn't even work
Doesn't work
It is completely non functional. It does not giv you proper instructions and the reading does not giv any results! No matter how hard you tap the strings.
Is very difficult to configure on Android, on IOS had better options to set up.
Just red curves over and over again. Applied all suggestions..still no luck..and it's a tennis racket.
Crap. Inaccurate readings
I have tried tapping the strings with everything imaginable and it either gives me no response or 11.4 lbs. One racquet was just restrung the the other needs it. Both come up at 11.4 lbs. With or with the headset. Very disappointed I wanted this to work.
Doesn't work. Get a real tension reader.
Was struggling to get reading at the beginning. But found the right technique (tapping repeatly) , I got stable readings now. Please note that readings are not the same as strung tension but the apps is very good to track relative tension loss.
I am unable to modify notes in history. Also same functios would be nice as in iOS version.
Basically it needs to add all the functions from the iphone app. you should allow us to edit rackets - as when you've saved one you can edit it. Also i have racket which is 89.5sq inch, but the app doesn't allow me to put the .5, if i round it up either way it reads it too low 38lbs, rather than 53lbs-its strung a fresh job. Needs fine tuning this app, waiting for the updates in future, i will edit my review when they do
Not as many bells and whistles as the iPhone version but it measures relative tension loss very well. UI slightly fiddly - would like to see more sliders and on screen buttons like the iPhone version rather number inputs through the keyboard.

This app is reasonably useful but would be hugely improved if it included the customisation features of the iOS version. Please update the app as it's been too long!
