Keep track of the US terrorism alert level with this home screen widget. Terror Alert Widget provides an at-a-glance update of the current terrorism threat. This widget syncs directly with the Department of Homeland Security National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS).
Optimized to use very little system resources. Users on limited data plans can customize how often the widget updates.

If I lose internet connection, I get a connection error on the widget, once connectivity is restored, the widget stops updating and stays on connection error. I have to remove widget and replace it on the screen.

It is not an alert but just points to a Web page. What's the point of constantly seeing an alert that points to a static page? Also, cannot change settings once the widget is installed. Just another "good idea" that no one knew what they were trying to accomplish.

It's a waste of time. are we supposed to be afraid, i don't think so. 9/11 was a pay back for all the criminal things what the USA did in the Middle East, and something like that will not happen again. There is currently (Saturday 6/27/15) a national terror alert, broadcasted by all major tv news channels, regarding possible terrorist activities on 7/04/15, this upcoming 4th of July Independence day. THIS APP IS SHOWING NOTHING. Get it right, developer, or take the app down.

This App mysteriously No longer connects too or responds any standard reinstall/restart protocols and Now fails to function. In addition, there hasn't been any useful data or actual ALERTS distributed since onset of potential life impacting threats nationally n globally. That's makes YOU..USELESS!! Worst app ever. There was an advisory issued over the NTAS back in December and all this app said was "no active alerts" get this app to do the right thing so we can be informed if something happens
