Wifi Timeout

Shutsdown wifi perfectly, but often does not turn it back on again :(

Solved a problem I developed on my Nexus 7 2013 tablet where the wif-fi wouldn't turn off when I put it into sleep mode. It was probably some other app or game I installed that prevents wi-fi from turning off during sleep. Didn't feel like spending hours troubleshooting it so I installed Wi-Fi Timeout. It fixed my issue. Now my Nexus 7's wi-fi sleeps when my tablet sleeps too. I also love that the app is very very small when storage space can be such a premium.

Does what it says - nice ans simple

This app sometimes turns WiFi off as expected, but it doesn't do so reliably on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8" device. I have found no way to predict when the timeout will work and when it won't work.

Serves as a band-aid for people like me whose WiFi sleep policy keeps resetting to 'Never'. However, the maximum timeout time possible is 300sec, would be nice if that was increased to 20 minutes or so.

After using several 'power saving' apps, and I found my droid 4.1 was just as efficient without them, but they had changed the wifi timeout to permanent on, so this app reset it back to what I set it to eg 60 seconds - great!

Exactly what I needed to switch wifi off when phone sleeps and on again when I start using it again. Simples but great.

WiFi either never sleeps or sleeps after very long time on Xperia Ray on ICS 4.0.4. This app stops working after sometime on Xperia Ray, ICS 4.0.4. Most probably after a call is received. Even while it works, WiFi icon does not animate properly.

Having recently up my Galaxy Note 10.1 to JB 4.1.2 I noticed that the "Keep Wifi On During Sleep" option which i used to switch off Wi-Fi during sleep had stopped working. This app addresses this perfectly. Hopefully the issue with wifi icon freezing can be rectified.

Before I installed this app, my phone (Motorola DEFY running CM7) was often prevented from going into the "deep sleep" CPU state, apparently because of a glitch in the default wifi wakelock policy. This app solved the problem, and as a result saves a lot of battery power. It's also nice to have some control over the timeout length, instead of the all-or-nothing options in android settings.

Works brilliantly to cut wifi idf set to 0 seconds on my S2. All other seconds seem to fail. Can lock up the icons for 3g/h/h+/wifi though. Would love it to have disconnect if screen on and no connection after a minute.

I have rooted nook with CM7. There is a known issue that the wifi doesn't turn off completely causing battery drain. This app fixed that problem. Good work.

Had to deduct a star because the app seems to freeze my Wifi Status Icon so I can't view activity or signal strength. Other than that it works perfectly.

It really does the job. I cannot receive notifications when I am on WiFi but on 3G I can an this app put to sleep WiFi when phone is locked so I can receive notifications. I have HTC desire 500.

Just what I was looking for. The only way it could be improved is by adding a timeout option for when the WiFi is idle for set period of time, as I always forget to switch it off when doing non web related stuff.

Please add option for wifi to stay off on wakeup. Thid is what I'm looking for. Then will give 5 stars.

I had battery drain issue during screen off, even with wifi set to sleep when screen is off on my 4.0.4 Galaxy 7.7. After installing this the wifi is turning off as it should during screen off.

Finally my phone sleeps properly when screen off. Saves a lot of juice. Thx Bigger time value on slider please. Wifi on 24/7 while on charger please.

My gtabcomb 3.3 rom didn't wifi sleep properly and it was a major battery drain. This program fixed it. Excellent
