About SSH Tasker Plugin

SSH Tasker is a plugin for Locale/Tasker that allows you automatically log into a server via SSH and execute remote commands.
* Tasker or Local is require to operate this plugin, the plugin will show up under plugin section when adding an action to a task.
* Keyfile and password authentication is supported with rsa and dsa keys.
* Encrypted keyfiles are supported.
* Commands allow for variable substitution.
* Username, Host, and Port now allow for variable substitution

* Output can be piped to a local Tasker variable (only available during the task) and be acted upon as soon as the command is completed without a Tasker wait.
* Multiple servers are supported, with unique authentication for each.
* Multiple commands can be stringed together using a ;

NOTE: Currently only openSSH keyfile is supported. (This means that connectbot keys will not work without converting them first).

Works perfectly! I just wish it could propagate default values to new tasks!

Q70%

Not perfect but pritty good, just too bad it costs money. (Free version always gives a error while this one doesnt)

Q70%
by Q####:

If you are having issues with an "unknown error", ensure that the last command you send is an exit command to officially close down the ssh session. I'm using the plugin to run a script which didn't have an exit command to close out the ssh session and I was getting the unknown error notification from the plugin consistently. After adding an exit command after the command to run my script in the plugin, the error appears to have gone away. I assume either adding an exit command to whatever script you're running remotely or into the list of commands the plugin will run will both work.

It worked for some time, but out of nowhere it says "unknown error", can you please fix it?

I use this Tasker plugin with our home automation. Our devices accept key-only ssh configuration for secure control, and this allows us to control the devices via tasks we've created. It's an awesome tool.

Does not work 90% of the time sadly. And it doesn't stop the rest of the task and does not alert you when it doesn't work.

B70%

Completely unreliable on Nexus 6P. Not up to snuff for a paid app.

Made my robotic projects done at an ease.

Excellent extension, made my raspberry pi home automation project a breeze. I'd buy it five times over.

The failures I was seeing seem to have been fixed in the latest update.

It used to be my favorite Tasker plugin. Now all of a sudden, on all of my devices, either actions take too long (several minutes may pass between the trigger of the action and the action itself to be executed on the SSH box), or just fail with "Unknown error". It all happens randomly. Please fix it and I'll be happy to give my 5 stars again.

I am using this ssh plugin to run a command on my pi where I wrote software to open my garage door from anywhere.

S70%

Worked first time(after I fixed the typo in my command). Super fast and I love how it has a separate line for the command. Worth the money. I have tried other plugins to try and run commands on remote boxes but none of them have been as easy.

After being disapointed with JuiceSSH's Tasker I began looking for something new. This SSH plugin is so simple, allows tasker variables, and completes the same tasks in a fraction of the speed it was taking JuiceSSH.

Worked great in tasker and gave me what I needed. Will be very useful, especially with Autoshare.
