Chama App sits between the rapidly changing Mobile Phone Technology & The traditional SACCO/Chama looking to keep up.

In essence Chama App is all about connecting Diaspora Kenyans with SACCO’s in Kenya. This is a challenge a group of Kenyans in the diaspora ran in to whilst trying to remit funds to their SACCO and Chama in Kenya. A quick survey revealed this problem many other shared. In the process we also learned that Kenya SACCOS faced challenges conducting business abroad. The most critical of these was efficient cost effective modes of remitting funds to Kenya from abroad.  Current methods involve multiple steps and can be costly.

These issues results in reduced final amounts being credited to the members SACCO account. Absent a reminder mechanism none employee members can find it difficult to remember to remit monthly contributions and meet their obligations to the SACCO. This can lead many members to fall behind in arrears.

Chama App addresses all these problems and more. It easy, fast, safe and costs less then the traditional remittance methods. Chama members will also have the ability to schedule remittance reminders on a preset date.
