About Chinese Text Reader
For all Mandarin Chinese learners, Chinese Text Reader is an application that aims to improve your reading skills. This application is not focused on the translation of sentences but more on reading longer texts. Indeed, reading books and articles is essential when learning a language.
Key features:
- Translates the words you will clicked on (only Chinese characters)
- Displays the translation of the word itself, but also the translation of the word in the context (by looking at the characters around)
- The tones can be optionally displayed to help you learn and remember the correct pronunciation
- Text can be imported from the clipboard but also by sharing a text selection from another application
- Text can also be modified and created manually.
- Statistics on the most frequently translated characters

I love all the features of this app. But the Cantonese male voice sounds like the version of the voice from " The Saw". It's really slow and very creepy. Can this be fixed?

I study languages a lot and I find this program useful. It's the only Android app I know that annotates Chinese. I just paste in news articles and I'm able to quickly read without needing to look things up externally. So great!

Very useful just what I was looking for! And for the pinyin can you add the intonations instead of just a number? It would be much easier to read and accurate.Itd be nice to be able to customize font size too. Spaces b/w words are too large.can't wait for next update! Edit // thanks for much for the reply!
