Still cannot report for hate speech and harassment.

The concept is good. But the app is really slow, loading items takes too long. Which makes it boring to use. If you search for questions with no answers. You get questions with answers. Also people post things in the wrong sections a lot. I imagine their tutorial is not very good in all languages.

I was concerned because the app asks for access to contacts. I was contacted by the hinative folks - they explained access to contacts was to simplify the sign up process, and they do not spam. You can continue to use the app without allowing access to contacts. I wish there was a way for them to explain this during the install.

This app highly respects the purpose for which it has been created. Excellent for many people.

The App is definitely awesome in a number of aspects. I really enjoyed it, but I'm kind of disappointed now...= I was being able to use all question templates, but now, after a few days of use, most of them are for Premium only (which I'm not). Is that permanent? The only thing I wasn't able to do before was to hear other answerers' recordings... I'm not complaining about the price - I don't think it's unfair, but it's just that I can't have a Premium account right now...And I really wanted to be able to use all of the question templates as I could before.

Great concept. Since the focus is on a question and answer format, you only have serious language learners using the app. However, having to pay a monthly subscription just to be able to ask open ended questions without the very limiting few templates seems ridiculous. There are useful apps like Hellotalk and Hellopal that allow you to post anything, and they have more users, for free. The downside is that many people seem to post things completely unrelated to learning languages (like selfies). They are still free, and you can find good language partners there with some patience. If you could ask anything you wanted on this app without paying a premium membership, this would easily be a 5 star app. One suggestion is to explain to users in a tutorial upon signing up how to close answered questions so they can be removed from the feed. I don't think most new users understand to do that.

You don't need this app if you've already got a good level of the language that you need to improve.

The idea itself is pretty amazing.And so is the app.Love it.

This new update is extremely disappointing. I was fine wi th not being able to listen to otherpeople's recordings, I was fine with not being able to bookmark and stuff. But now, I can only ask 1 question?? Now, I have to pay basically to use the app?? Until this is fixed I'm not using the app.

I really liked the app and even subscribed to it. But I cannot use it's features because everytime I tried to use the template to ask a question, a pop up for subscription will appear. And when I clicked that, it's says error as I'm already subscribed. I cannot use the app even if I paid already.

This was a wonderful language learning tool until the update killed it. Now I can only ask one question unless I subscribe. No thanks. I'll just go back to Italki and yahoo answers. It was good while it lasted.

Amazing app to learn a language. The only problem I'm having with this app is that every time I click on a voice answer to hear, I get nothing. The voice recording doesn't play. Please fix that.

It is a great app and I find it very useful, it's really cool to be able to get answers to your questions directly from native speakers of that language. It also makes it fun to answer other people's questions. However... the amount of things that are restricted to premium is a little ridiculous. You should at least be able to write your own questions with the free version if nothing else. When it asks you to upgrade to premium it says that it allows you to 'access many useful templates' for forming questions, but how is 'no template' a "useful template"? How is being able to ask a question in your own words a "useful template"? That's just a basic function of any application and without that there's really no point to this app. Being able to ask your own question could be the only function of this app and it would be more useful than if it had everything but. As it stands now, with the free version, the only question you can ask people is "how do you say this?" Which won't get you any farther than using a dictionary. All of this being said, I would have gladly paid for the app without hesitation had it been just a flat price, because with all of the features enabled, it is a really good app, but why do we need to pay for a subscription?? What continuous service are you providing? You designed the app and published it, but beyond that, the app supports itself and all the content is community created. Subscriptions are for things like Netflix where they are continually releasing new content, or magazines, where there is a new issue every month. So by charging your users on a monthly basis, you are charging them for the 'privilege' of being able to freely communicate with each other and exchange knowledge (the fundamental principle of the internet) -which is a continuous process like a subscription, whereas if you charged a flat rate, you would be charging them once as a way for you to cover the cost of producing the app, plus some profit (which is totally fine), not to mention much easier to commit to for your users. Those are my two big issues with this app, but if those can be changed then this app could really be something amazing

Very useful app for beginner like me. The response to the doubts is instant. I never feel alone or at sea.

Great little app. Useless without Premium… This is a very good, fun and addictive learning app, that can really help fill in the gaps between formal study and tandem-conversation. If you're out to learn any language, I'd heartily recommend it! BUT: After the free trial ends, it becomes almost useless unless you cough up some cash. Particularly the "what is the difference between A and B"-template question is an absolute necessity and is basically what I got the app for in the first place. Without it, I might as well just uninstall, which is a huge shame… This is an excellent app, no doubt, but it's not really worth paying for basic functionalities like that. I can totally live without it, even though I'd really rather not… TL,DR: With all functionalities: 4-5 Stars, without: 1-2 Stars. PS: Oh, and make sure to turn off all email notifications (which is actually kind of a pain to do…)

Can't even login. Tells me an error has occurred and try again later. 25/1/18 I can't respond to the developer's comment. I sent through my details via the app in December. I received a reply in January saying that it was now fixed. It wasn't I've now deleted the app.

After trial became useless, only premium users get answers and there's almost nothing to do. If you don't pretend to be premium doesn't worth a try. Full payed app disguised in free app.

It used to be good until all the features including asking a basic questions are locked and made only available thru premium. I'm better off asking on yahoo answers. Uninstalling it.

Facebook, Google and Youtube company are highly successful not because of their utility ,but also free of charge.

This app is very good same than duolingo the apps are the better
