Landmarks AR

Landmarks AR is the user's tour guide to the world's natural and man-made landmarks. Landmarks AR provides real time, on-screen information to users about surrounding geographic and architectural landmarks by way panoramic scanning over the landmark using their device’s compass, camera and gps system. By simply tilting the screen flat, the app also provides quick access to a topographical map to allow users to easily determine their location in comparison to the landmarks in their area. The surrounding landmarks' information is assembled according to the user's location and the aimed direction of the device. Nearby landmarks are identified by icons and are listed by their distance from the user. The landmarks can be filtered by both category and distance. Once users find a landmark of interest they are able to instantly access additional information about the landmark through Google or Wikipedia by clicking the landmark's icon and choosing the appropriate link. The users may also share their adventures with their friends by recommending a landmark through Facebook or Twitter.
