Not only did it not work at all, it actually reset my wallpaper! I was going to rate it 3 stars for average since it *might* work on other (most likely older) devices but, because of fouling up non-related system settings, I'm giving you only 1 star instead...
To use the power button to restore the bar is the most elegant idea in comparison to the other apps that do it! I would even spend money if it was a one-tap solution (widget, or simply default behaviour upon launching). I would spend a lot of money if it was automatic whenever an app goes into full screen (the buttons on the bar become these little white dots).
..would it be possible to re-enable the status bar via power menu instead of lockscreen? or some other way? i am using this with virtual button bar and it is seamless and very very awesome. the problem is that i have to re-hide the statusbar everytime i unlock the screen. this is the only app that hides the status bar without distorting the top part of my screen like honeybar/hidebar

It got the job done on my rooted Galaxy 10.1. Thank you so very much. Good job. The use of the power button to bring the bar back is quite clever. I like that.
Does not work for Xoom with OS's =-( Has potential though
It is working exactly as stated for me galaxy tab 7 plus!

Works good for HTC one :)

Doesnt work on rooted nexus 4
Conceptually this would be great. Simple in a very Unix like way. Unfortunately on my Nexus 7 it doesn't work. Maybe an update for jelly bean support is needed? Worth trying though if you are looking for this functionality.
Not working on Asus tf101 running 4.0.3
Does nothing.
