Bastian mengawali kariernya dengan mengikuti ajang Idola Cilik 2. Setelah itu ia bersama finalis Idola Cilik lainnya merilis album kompilasi bersama Idola Cilik berjudul Gapai Mimpiku. Setelah ajang Idola Cilik memasuki season 3, Babas berduet dengan salah satu peserta Idola Cilik 3, Alvaro Maldini Siregar (Aldi) yang kemudian menjadi rekan segrupnya dalam grup vokal pria Coboy Junior hingga sekarang grup band dan vokal pria Project Jr. 8.[1]

Karakter vokal Babas yang mampu mencapai nada-nada tinggi serta kepribadiannya yang humoris membuatnya lolos audisi untuk peran Kucai dalam drama Musikal Laskar Pelangi. Setelah bermain dalam Laskar Pelangi, Babas kembali berkarya dalam seni peran melalui film 5 Elang sebagai Aldi. Dalam 5 Elang, Babas juga turut mengisi soundtracknya dalam lagu Suka Padamu.[2]

Sambutan positif masyarakat terhadap drama musikal Laskar Pelangi membuat pertunjukan ini diadakan kembali. Tidak tanggung-tanggung, kali ini drama musikal Laskar Pelangi mendapat tawaran tampil di Singapura. Dalam pertunjukan ini Babas kembali bermain sebagai Kucai.

Bastian began his career with the pageant Idol 2. After that he and the other Idol finalists release a compilation album together titled Reach Mimpiku Idol. Upon entering the arena Idol season 3, Babas duet with one of the participants Idol 3, Alvaro Maldini Siregar (Aldi) which later became co segrupnya in the boy band Coboy Junior until now bands and vocal guy Project Jr. 8. Babas vocals are able to reach the high notes and humorous personality made him audition for a role in a drama Kucai Musical Laskar Pelangi. After playing in the Rainbow Warriors, Babas return to work in acting through movies 5 Eagles as Aldi. In 5 Eagles, Babas also helped fill the soundtrack in the song Love In thee. [2]

The positive response of society to the musical Laskar Pelangi make this performance is held back. No half-hearted, this time musical Laskar Pelangi got an offer to perform in Singapore. In this show Babas back playing as Kucai.
