Queensland Transport Planner for Android
This used to be the best, most usable app - better than the official one and better than international ones like moovit but it no longer works. I get an error message saying "the search criteria created an invalid response." This has been the case for months with no fix :-(
Have used it for years, never had any major issues. Can be annoying and not give connecting bus/train options when there are some but I know how to work around that.. All of a sudden, since Wednesday (12/10/16) it won't work. Says my "search criteria has had invalid response and will be investigated". This is on new searches and ones I have saved and used every other day. I can still access everything else like normal but not this (Samsung Galaxy 7)
Ok but, include gps tracking of trains. Also with the go card history, Why start with the earliest date, allow sorting by most recent date to save scrolling. Also allow go card enquiries direct from app for when your tag machines malfunction. How did Jeff Jones manage to give this 5 stars twice on the same day? , next time you rig your rating use a different name. Doesn't have new Redcliffe line timetable
Very useful tool. Just started giving error that search criteria produces invalid response for any start and destination. It appears Translink API has changed. Now useless. I hope upgrade is issued as it saved my neck a few times and is leaner than government app.
I'm new to Brisbane and a lady who worked for the buses was out informing people of the upcoming changes in the schedule. She told me to download the app as it has all the current routes and times and will be updated with the new schedule. I've attempted to use it dozens of times and have not had it work once yet.
All of a sudden cannot search for any places and everytime i try to plan a journey it says invalid response. Other people have the same issue and its super inconvenient as I use this app almost every day :(
Previous versions used to work, at least. This one doesn't even connect in any of the 4 cellphones of my family members ..such a pitty for a so-called "developed nation". QLD transport should pay a decent app developer.
I've been using this app for years now. Links to Translink's journey planner perfectly. Allows me to actually save journeys which I frequently use (home to work) which Translink's app wasn't allowing me to do. Nice work. EDIT (14/10/16): Translink have completed redone their website (it's useless and slow...) but now the app isn't connecting correctly/not working at all :-(
However suddenly stopped finding journeys a couple weeks ago. Gives an error instead. Edit: been broken for months with no fix. No longer 4 stars
Ok with trains, but seems useless for buses unless I know the exact stops I will embark/disembark from. I end up having to enter the route in gmaps, find the relevant stops and then enter them into this app to find the correct service. It would be preferable to be able to enter the address I am leaving and the address I intend to get to, as I don't have an encyclopaedic knowledge of bus stops.
When you're a tourist, you're better of guessing. If you don't know exactly where you're going and where you are, you're pretty much left to guess. There is no gps location finder, the map function is abysmal. There's no feature which navigates you to the stop when you're on foot. And the interface is horrible, I can't imagine an older person being able to navigate this. Take a hint from the public transport Victoria app,or better just steal it. Worst app on my phone!
This app used to be 5 Stars and I'd always use it over anything TransLink as it always worked. However, TransLink recently made a new JourneyPlanner website which changed some API settings and now this app doesn't work. Please fix the best TransLink App out!
Would love to use it except it won't even let me add a starting point or destination - says "search failed" no matter which way I try add a location. So completely useless, in other words.
Loaded it when I upgraded my phone from an S5 to an S7. Expecting the same reliable experience I've enjoyed for 3 years. But no, it doesn't recognize my railway station so its pointless retaining it.
Incorrect time, incorrect platform, incorrect direction. And translink never even try to fix it. Buses never show up on time. Brisbane transportation is the worst among the counties I visited.
I have always found this reliable to use, I have it both on my Samsung mobile and Samsung tablet, but since Tuesday 11 October I have had problems, error in search criteria is what it tells me. I have uninstalled it from my mobile and reinstalled it, type in address in it, says sevice error. Fix it please, I really need it now more than before, as all bus services have changed in Redcliffe peninsula with the new train station opened up in Kippa-Ring
I think the only way Translink could make a worse app is if it crashed your phone. Entering valid departure and arrival locations causes an error message.
But all of a sudden it's completely broken. Can't search for locations, can't find journeys. It's pretty much useless at this point, please fix.. when it works it's so much better than the MyTranslink app!
The start & destination locators doesn't work! Tried by address, maps etc... keeps coming up with The same error!! Yet the location (& bus stop) is visible on the map!!!!!
When I arrived to Brisbane I used the application without problems. So weeks ago all time when I try to search an address says search failed retry. It's not working.
Used it for years and better than Translink app BUT today it wont find my origin and destination. Error message "failed". Wassup?
I have been out of the country for a few weeks and now that I'm back all of a sudden this app isn't working... i keep getting an error message "your search criteria is invalid and will be investigated" this is very frustrating. I have attempted to uninstall n reinstall and i get the same issue whether i use a previously saved locations or the map to pick new ones. Please address this issue asap. This used to be a very helpful and easy to use app.
I uninstalled your old ap as it hasn't worked for AGES, & installed tge new, as you claimed the problem is fixed, but it definitely is not.
Can't plan a journey when you can't access a location, you haven't fixed it, it is still playing up! Usually it's a good app but this bug makes it unable to use.
Stopped working suddenly. Can't search for places, get error all the time
Just like other reviewers say this app is broken and is completely useless. I previously used it regularly with great success, however now I can't search at all as the search function completely fails, not recognising any place of origin or destination. Please fix!
This app is out of action, even after reinstall. Can't find any location, even central. Can't calculate any journeys using previously working saved journeys. Total and utter failure and can not be used
Dude, I've always loved this app when it is up and running properly, but in the last couple of months it has stopped working properly. Please do some maintenance on this asap because I really found it to be better than anything else available. Cheers
After selecting my home on the map, which displayed the correct address, the app tells me it's an invalid location. Useless.
New update just keeps generating "invalid search" for every destination try to use this app to get to. Worked fine before the update.
Worked great but now all of a sudden anything I type into the search bar has failed search. Cannot find your current location. If you select from the map it doesn't save the location.
I live in Brisbane but can't download the newer version of this app MyTransLink. It tells me that the app is not available in my country. What do I do.
Rubbish. Wont let you go past selecting a start point
The app basically doesn't work. You can't search a location and even when i put one in manually it says its invalid. Please fix this soon as its a must have app.
Was a 5 star up but recently the search function keeps failing and I can't use it for any timetable features.
I would have given this app 5* but I don't like the American way of displaying the date. I prefer to see the day, then the month and then the year. It's a minor thing, but why not give you the option?
First time using it in 3 months and it gave me the wrong train platform and time. Only because I was paying attention was it that I realised that the train was on platform 1 not 2 and was leaving it 2 minutes not 8 minutes, leaving me seconds to spare to get over to platform 1. When I looked at the time board there was no brisbane bound train on platform 2 for another 1/2 hour
Buses have GPS to know what stop they're at, why not use that to let us see where they are in real-time like Uber does? Also, it often has issues with connecting over mobile data (and I'm on Telstra, so it's not the reception).
It is good but I find it will commonly return the next service but then skip the one directly after that and show the third service. It would be good to see the next three services rather than filtering what I see.

Like previous comments, I loved this app, it was really easy to use. A lot better than any other travel app I've ever used...until now. I usually use it several times a week but have not used it for a few weeks due to holidays, I get back and want to find my way home but all I get is 'invalid response criteria' Please please please get this working again.
