Couldn't identify a raven in Yosemite Valley. LAME!

Edit. Cornell contacted me with a fix. The fix worked. Now the app works well with no issues. Thanks for the help. Delete following comment: It did not give any potential IDs. Would not even ID a common crow.

Shows nothing. Not even the most common birds. It's complete garbage to me, maybe it works for others but it's useless here.

A great quick reference for the field. The recordings of various songs have even allowed me to call birds in from heavy brush.

I love it. This is the only source of bird info I have when I travel to Mexico. It also serves as a great tool for looking at references when doing an art study.

No matter what you enter, it gives you the same birds

Crashes every time I tried to use it in the past year. App is updated, we are apparently just incompatible. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running up to date OS. Uninstalling.

If interested resiefing images of south africa i will be able to help as i take images of all those i see.

First time using this app. It identified every bird.

Easy to use, great app.

Good pictures, good recordings of calls, maps. The reason I am giving it only three stars is that when you go in to look at a bird, if you go back to the category, it lets you in to see the category for a second and then shoots you all the way to the beginning. So if you want to compare it other birds in the category to be sure of which bird you thought you saw, you have waste your time scrolling back down to the category. The other point off is for it not working properly for me. It's location question gets stuck and won't continue so is yseless to me.

I really wish this would allow me to see the birds I've ID'd. After using it all summer; I only just now realized there is no way to see my birds. This is what I want above all else. The app is great otherwise.

It is amazing.It has expanded to Europe and has great sounds and photos of birds really amazing.I wish I had it when I was in Europe it would have helped a lot as I do not know my European birds.

This a use to work great. For some reason it doesn't work. I delegated and reloaded twice. Still doesn't work.

Great app including photos and audios, they even have a photo ID. Next they should add a vocalization ID.

Great app so far! Havnt tried the photo ID. It is so nice to set your location and will show you the birds most likely in your area. I love being able to hear the sounds.

Awesome! Every time I see a bird, it gets the correct one and has such a large variety, unlike other apps. Best out there.

App up and running with help from the Merlin folks. Install the packs!

The app keeps lagging and glitching

This app worked fine. Now it is reporting no installed birds. Even tried something as simple as a blue jay. Nothing.

After failed install a few days ago, today everything went smooth, and the app is just absolutely great!

Powerful and offline, great tool!

Shows promise, but fails to identify common birds, and using a photo fails each time. Will monitoring for improvements. Update::: Reloaded as suggested by developer and now working. Much better that I expected, very impressed.

I used to love this app, but several months ago songs and maps became unavailable. I was hoping the recent update would fix that, but it didn't. Also waiting for the means to save spottings as a journal.

Was great until last update. Can find any birds at all... Even when i say show all birds. It keep saying no birds exist. Please fix

Whenever I submit a bird photo in the bird photo id it crashes. Now it has been for almost 10 times. Well the dictionary is good but not satisfactory.

Maybe premature to give five stars, but Merlin identified my bird very quickly by either answering a few short questions and provided the same answer by examining a photo. And, it's FREE!

New update installed and packs downloaded ok. Seems to now be working ok. Will give it more stars of still completely happy with it after a number of weeks usage.

If freezes on the sounds. I have an android device. Please fix. Other than that itsgood

Love this app

After bouncing emails back and forth and there being a fix for the bird packs I successfully installed the Great Britain and Ireland pack. Currently there are no maps for distribution etc unless the bird also appears in North America in which case there are maps but only for America. This is currently being looked at by the developers and they hope to correct this in the weeks and months ahead. The app has huge potential so let's hope the development happens swiftly. The support was excellent.

An unexpected and useful response by the creators, as well as them delivering on their promises sooner than expected, has meant I've changed my mind regarding the below, and have upped my rating of the app. Because of the response and changes, they now have a happy customer.. Great service, particularly since the app is free! Itounds and looks decent enough, but not being able to install (it downloads OK) the only bird pack I need (the UK one), means I am not able to use the app at all.

Love the app, multiple photos for variable coloring of birds, various bird songs and sounds... However I would love the app to show both French and English names once I've downloaded the additional language, I don't like that I need to re-download each language just to switch from one to the other, I hope this will be seen and would love to get the app updated! Thanks!

Very nice easy to use app. Have been using it for little over a week and extremely blown away at the program's ability to ID a bird from a simple and sometimes "fuzzy" phone camera. I took a screen shot of a phone camera video of a hummingbird and it was spot on with the ID ... amazing and kudos to the developer/programmer. App makes you want to go out and try to ID more birds and figure out how to bring them to your location (in my case SE Wisconsin). Again, get this app if you have any interest in identifying birds, you will not be disappointed. Only 1 drawback, which I understand will be covered in an update and that is the ability to save "what" birds you've already identified. Hurry that feature along ok guys?
