La Palabra del Día

La Palabra del Día is a free service that was awarded by the European Union and the British Government with the European Award for Languages 2001.

Since 2000 we are sending subscribers a Spanish word every day with its English translation and some examples of how to use the word and its derivations.

We send the daily words via email, we have started sending them via facebook and now we are developing this app to broaden the opportunities to receive La Palabra del Día.

We have currently more than 7,000 subscribers via email.

This is version 2.0.

Versions 1.0 to 1.4 were just testing versions used for developing the program. Version 1.5 was released as a beta version and from version 1.9 we have a final version.

Version 1.5 includes apart from the daily words two media feeds one online newspaper (Libertad Digital) and one radio program podcast (La mañana de Federico - esRadio)

Version 1.6 added another podcast En Casa de Herrero from esRadio.

Version 1.7 includes El Diario Montañés newspaper.

Version 1.8 has got two more podcasts from esRadio: Es la Tarde de Dieter and Sin Complejos.

Version 1.9 includes podcasts of a comedy program from Onda Cero called La Parroquia del Monaguillo.

Version 4.0 corrects different RSS errors found in the app.
