Uni of South Wales - UniLife for Android
The app keeps saying there us no anything and have I got an Internet connection. Reinstalled it and no improvement. I can't access any of it and worst of all there is no help button, so I've had to post this here. It worked before and was brilliant. Please help.
I just reinstalled it because it wasnt picking up any feeds, kept asking if i had a data connection which I do. Now uninstalled cos not working.
Needs a major update, just gives you links to uni life were it should have its own portal for that and when I rotate the device it takes me back to the home screen and refreshes the page so you loose all your progress.
Finally an android version, this will make accessing emails and uni information so much easier and faster when not on a computer
This prevented all updates to all programmes on my phone and made it unstable. When removed my phone updated properly again. Definitely avoid!
Seems a little bit redundant releasing this app so under-developed, it basically just links you to the pages already accessible via the glam life web page. The app should access individual students' accounts and have personalised information directed at them. For example: -Personal exam timetables, with interactive calendar features -Access to individual faculty information such as whereabouts of tutors and room details for the upcoming weeks lectures -Interactive assessment diaries with completion checks and deadline reminders -Group chat capabilities for your peer group and module tutors with on-screen notifications -Integrated library service, e.g. reserving books, paying fines -Weekly menus for catering facilities -Editable academic registry information e.g. address details -Blackboard integration, or failing that, the uni should pay for access to Blackboard mobile The current application, as much work would have gone into creating the initial shell, is just that; a shell. Please make this app more feature rich and more designed towards users on an individual level. Thanks.
This is not an app just links to pages.

Really, this had the ability to actually be really good. I mean UX wise, it is pretty beautiful. From there though, there is nothing this adds that couldn't be done through your mobile browser. Disappointing.
Quicker and easier than signing in to the website.
Not useful at all. Might as well just goto glamlife on your phones browser.

It's handy to check your emails and announcements with, but is there any way we can check our timetables? It's a massive pain going through the website all the time. Thanks.
