So much negative! It's an app still in development, there are a lot of books to catch up on (and new books coming out every day). The community helps build the collective information, so contribute! The other features of this app are SO HELPFUL. I love to having the class roster, library, and check-in/check-out feature. Looking forward to future updates, thank you!

This app is making it so much easier to level my classroom library. A bit tedious, but overall great. The books that don't scan can be found by typing in the title. Obviously not all books are in the database but pretty good!

G70%
by G####:

My only complaint is that not all books have any kind of level listed. I can work with it if there is at least 1 and I can use a compatibility chart, but when nothing is listed it's like a waste of time.

M70%
by M####:

Wish it recognized barcodes, had to manually enter almost all. Only allows one book per title not sure how that is realistic. Needs a web component for easier management. Wish I hadn't paid for it.

by X####:

Great app! I read a lot of negative reviews about it and was hesitant to buy it but I'm glad I did. I think the negative reviewers have an unrealistic expectation of a leveling app. No leveling app is going to recognize all books. This was the third app I used to level my books and it found a ton of books that I hadn't found levels for using the other 2 apps. Sometimes when it would scan the bar code, the wrong number would show up saying it didn't recognize a book. I had to get it to scan a second or third time to recognize sometimes. I also love the manual entry option. Would be easier to use on a computer but it found many books that didn't have a bar code to scan. Would definitely recommend, just understand that no app will find all of your books.

Would be 5-star if: (*1*) Data normalization: It seems like there is too much possible variation in user data being entered which makes it hard to identify accurate levels. Choose the standards and enforce them. (*2*) Allow multi-field search: When I tried searching with title and author, it would just ignore title and only give author. Why not provide a way to search by both. (*3*) Scan-to-title-search: Scanner usually found books with no helpful information (no reading levels entered), but if I searched by title I would find a list of 3-5 entries for that book (maybe different printing, but same book reading level). You could improve user experience by maybe adding a way to link to title/author search from the scanner result..."Not the right book? Search by title" and it would auto-populate the title search field. Might not always work but it's a start. (*4*) Allow user to edit search after they get results. The results sometimes need find-tuning but when I click "back" on my phone it takes me back to a blank form, why not cache those search fields or at least put an "edit/filter search" link in results to narrow results without totally reentering all the info every time.

I have used this app for nearly 2 years, but there have been no updates and it doesn't recognize a lot of the newer books. My family are avid readers and if it were updated, we would use it so much more.

P70%
by P####:

Sometimes it gets hung up searching and has to be restarted. Most of the levels are good, though.

R70%
by R####:

Many books did not have information to level my books. The title would come up but all the level options were empty. I am upset that I paid money for this and the app isn't even useful. It was a complete waste of money.

R70%
by R####:

This app does not work. I've inputted my books, mostly manually because this app's database is lacking. It doesn't even have a counter as to how many books my library has. The biggest disappointment is that the checkout feature is nonfunctional. I sent feedback to the developer/seller, but no support was given.

M70%
by M####:

I'm a librarian, I tried popular books the students are reading and after not getting results for the first 10 I gave up. It found the books titles but no levels were available. Probably won't use it again and they have my $3.99.

R70%
by R####:

Yay! It has all of the books I scanned. About 90% of the searches did not have any type of level. Nevermind.... It's a fail.... Ask for money when you actually have a finished product.

R70%
by R####:

Literally every book I scan has no level. I wish I hadn't purchased it. It is absolutely horrible

B70%
by B####:

A lot of missing books and using it as a checkout system in my classroom hasn't worked as conveniently as I would have liked.

C70%
by C####:

I got this to try and level my grade 6 students books, but have been very disappointed in the database. Even common books like R. L Stine's "Goosebumps" are not levelled. This data base needs some serious work in order to make it be useful for the elementary teacher.

Z70%
by Z####:

The app is great for creating your own library, but it is lacking the levels for most all of the books I've scanned in. It's a good app, but misleading.

Z70%
by Z####:

It's a good start in organizing my classroom library. However about 1/4 of my books did not register with the scanner :/ kind of a bummer to manually search each book and add.

Z70%
by Z####:

Love the convenience! A little inconsistent when scanning bar codes. Some books not found by bar code are found by title. I wish it could tell me how many books are in my library!! Overall, I still like it and hope they continue to improve it.

Z70%
by Z####:

So far only 1 out of 10 books have a level and so many aren't even in the system. A waste of money

Z70%
by Z####:

I purchased this app as a way to level many of my books, but I am continually coming across books that aren't in the database or don't have levels assingned. This is for some very common and well known authors and books.

X70%
by X####:

Many books are not found using the bar code scanner. Most of the time you have to type the title in to search. A lot of books either have no information as far as the level or only partial information. I'm extremely disappointed with this app. It's a waste of money. I prefer Scholastic Book Wizard app. It's free and by far better.

Z70%
by Z####:

I would really like to be refunded. I tried scholastic's free app and bought this one to level the books that were not in the scholastic data base. It did not have a single one of them. Very disappointed.

Z70%
by Z####:

Great app but missing a few key features. You should be able to add a book you can't find and add Levels even if it just stays on your device does not need to go into the main database

Z70%
by Z####:

At first it was frustrating when a book wouldn't scan. But since you can input the isbn it helps. 99% of my books were found. I love that i can input my class roster and check books out to specific students. Stalled once and closed the app on me once. Overall I love it.

I70%
by I####:

So easy to use on my phone using voice recognition. Can walk around the Library and use where the books are. Also love your book recommendations. Not perfect. Needs work adding more titles.

Z70%
by Z####:

I bought this app solely to manage my classroom library check in/out system. It is amazing and super functional. It is missing some reading levels, but I could also see where that info could be added later. My complaints are that it does not allow you to have multiple copies of a book in your library. E. G.: It only allowed me to have one of three copies of "The Lightning Thief." Also, doesn't back up on cloud. You switch devices, you lose info. Still going to recommend!!

W70%

This app does not work - every time I try to scan a book it goes back to the book of the day! Waste of money!!!

Z70%

I have been searching for a leveling app to help my son pick just right books. The app is awesome.

Z70%
by Z####:

I'm a teacher and very few of my books were recognized by this app. It is NOT worth buying. I wish I listened to reviews.

Z70%
by Z####:

I do like the quick response for capturing the book information. The level system is a little difficult, but does have great possbilities for student reading opportunities. This has made cataloging the classroom library more efficient.

Z70%
by Z####:

The app does not function great in my classroom when I need to add books or just use any of the Internet functions. I had to catalog all my books, take the list home, then manually plug them in. I haven't used the scanner so can't speak to that feature. I wish that I could more easily add/edit reading level info when adding the books. I think the only way to do this now is to sign in to my teacher account and submit it. I haven't started using the check out feature yet but plan to in the next few weeks.

This made starting a classroom library very easy. I would like to see a computer program with this as well as an easier way to input book levels.

N70%

I've had to manually enter a large portion of my library, which means I have to manually check that book out. This wouldn't be a big deal except for the app's horrible habit of hanging while scrolling through the book list. I also have problems being able to check books back in - 90% of the time it takes numerous times hitting the check in button to get the app to work. And even then, I still have books "checked out" that I've been trying to check in for the whole school year. There have been no updates.

N70%
by N####:

I love that this app works faster than others when adding books to your library. It has some good features. I'm frustrated by the number of books not found, however. I've also been dealing with TONS of crashes lately. I hope they get the kinks worked out since this app seems to be one of the better one available.

N70%
by N####:

It often freezes or shuts down on me all together. It will not let me scroll through my entire library without freezing. There are also quite a few common books (like the Magic Tree house series) that are not in the system catalog. I like the idea of this app and when it is working, it has made classroom library usage amazing. If the kinks get worked out, it would be fantastic.

Needs to be able to export the library as a CSV file. Also fix the crashing it happens frequently.
