Talk - Text to Voice FREE

The app is one of the best free tts app i could find so far. Only issue i face are 1. No male voice with variation 2. Storage location is under a specifc hardcoded location which sometime need specifc third party app like es file explore to get the saved wav files. 3. The app hangs sometime when saving the audio. After a lot of trials i realised that the pattern is That when saving is clicked while the app is still narrating the text, app cannot handle this situation. Fix above and i guess ur app will be best free tts app. I will.go for 5 stars. Anyway thanks development team for efforts

It's a nice app, better than the ones I've tried anyway. Just a few warnings. If you delete a text there is no way to retrieve it (I might be wrong but I can't find a way), and it's way too easy. I've deleted a few by accident, the kind I can't get back even if I tried. But otherwise, happy listening (cause we all know we're too lazy to read the texts ourselves!)

It is useful for me in making some short announcements and promotion of things. But, I have one issue about TTS Engines. Can you make a simple button or option for choosing those TTS Engines. It's quite difficult to search and find those clothes in a cupboard that have many drawers. I need to tap on many options to get those TTS Engines list. So, it will be much easier if there's one button or option for choosing TTS Engines. For this time, 4 stars.

Highly recommended. Please download this and ignore others. a text to Voice app I certainly say it's by far better than the rest. I downloaded 5 or 6 if such apps and this is the easiest and best. Others are complicated and confusing like f... Mind you, we need a TTS not a stealth bomber programme that spins us around and still can't specifically work as a simple TTS. This is highly recommended tu o any beginners or old hands.

Its cool. Its great at multi-screen on Note 4. Needs to be able to resize font. Also should stop playing if the headphones pop out. It's almost embarrassing in class. App does share most web pages, but some you have to copy and paste (not taking points from that).

Should make the play/pause button visible on lock scree. Should add a button to skip back or forward one sentence instantly. Pitch and speed control should be made instant and changeable while reading so we can compare speeds and pitches easily. Also, the app does not work well in the background, it stutters and sometimes stops all together. And this time there is a bug which hides the font size buttons. Also, bullet points in websites are read as a single sentence.

I prefer this app but I have some issues to report. 1) When I paste a paragraph, many times the blank space are taken as a next line especially when I copy from PDF. I have to remove the extra new lines is the end-of-line to prevent to make the continuous speech with no pausing between words.

This used to be better last summer prior to the big update. Now, there are extra steps to get to the text box and it takes longer to clear the textbox box. The extra steps that were added in the big update really suck for those that can't talk and use this app to communicate. Since that update, I haven't been able to use this app and I've had to use other text to speech apps. Please, fix this app soon, or bring back the old version as an separate app.

I use it to read direction to me. No pop up adds is wonderful! Has some trouble saying some words but over all a good app. Wouldn't mind if the voice was a bit smoother

Just i was searching a text to speech app. But i can't find any place like this app. Yeah its really to much good app. My search end here. But one noticeable in this app is after changing voice speed to slow not changing is coming so please fix it

IT READS whatever I want so it Iz wat it iz. I haven't used it as a browser as android seems to think it capible. not sure about that so, 4 out 5. luv it though so could improve of I find time to figure that part out.

UPDATE: NOW THE APP IS NOT LOADING ENTIRE ARTICLES. WHAT HAPPENED?!!!!! It crashes more often than I like. It also gets stuck in a loop if memory or cache is low and imports an article two or more times. It crashes too much. I know I have problems with memory because I don't have an SD card. I delete apps and pics but I can't afford an SD card. This app needs to handle memory and cache problems better. It is very frustrating to have to rely on such a frail app.

Although my low star rating, I love this app, but it is THE MOST UNSTABLE APP EVER! Anything which disrupts it makes it crash, receiving a text, crash, loading up any other app, crash. Sharing a new web page into it to read, crash. Can be quite annoying to say the least, especially if it was reading a large amount of text as you then have to spend ages scrolling g through it to find where it was at last. Would have brought the paid version if this was stable.

This have been helping me so much while I've had laryngitis. It's so nice to be able to communicate without forcing someone to read a note or text. Would definitely recommend

I have this app on my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 and I like it!!!! I decided to download it one day when I was really sick with the flu and had lost my voice and needed help being able to communicate!! My daughter got it a long time ago when she was sick and lost her voice and kept it!!!! So when she saw I couldn't talk she downloaded it on my ph!!!! And now I've decided to keep it, too!!! It came in real handy plus it doesn't use much memory!!! Great job, devs!!! I definitely recommend!!!! ????☺

Now I can have anything read to me just copy and paste in. Plus can make an audio file of it but only in wav format. Can only make audio file if it's not too big. Have been unable to make some. But it is a Free App

Not perfect by a long shot, but let's me listen to blogs while driving or in my workshop. Would like to know how to be able to customize aspects of it.

This is an interesting tool. When I am tired reading. I can copy & paste the contents, and have it read. If possible, please make it available on the notebook. If it allows to open a document, and reads the whole file, it will be wonderful.

works good. not buggy. super fun! paste anything from your clipboard and it reads it, even funny words like f**k, and s**t. export as .wav to play on any audio program.

It's a good app. If I have a negative comment it would be that sometimes I copy and paste text into the APP and it will not play. I think that it's because the text feild is too large. When there's less text it will play. Otherwise it's good.

I've had ADHD/ADD since I was a child. I always have troubling reading and comprehending it because I read so slow. With your app i have better comprehension and can accomplish more in a much shorter time. Thank you

App was recently downgraded for some unknown reason. They removed the pitch, volume, speed and language options capabilities. Prior to its downgrade it was top notch for those of us lacking speech.

suggestion: The filename could be the typed text initially, it would come preselected so typing anything would easily overwrite, we could also chose how many initial chars to use like 20, and remove all punctuation of course, it could also be automatic and autosave as soon we hit play button. Thx!

Love this app. It totally helped when I lost my voice and could still talk to my husband. Even though he might have waited for me to text. But was awesome

I love to use this app.It serves all my voice over issues. Really helpful instead of purchasing costly softwares again and again. App can be improved further as per requirement.

Worst app. .it took 1 hour to exporting 1 mb wave file ...it's always showing processing. ...don't install. ...waste of time....dear app owner ....please solve this issue asap....

I do not have any complaints regarding the speech. I really like it that the app recognises text until it encounters a fullstop which make the brief pause look intentional unlike other apps(polaris office) that go line by line which make the pause it takes to recognize next line glaring, obvious and somewhat uncomfortable. My only wish is that it would be nice if we could open files like .txt so we could have some easy time loading the text and it could be opened in multi window like polaris app. Best of both worlds

This app ???? is Awesome ????✊???? ???????? for the Blind also for those who can't spell properly & for people who are full dyslexic or have dyslexic tendencies and it's also great to listen to so then you know whether it makes sense before you paste it specially when doing email and business things you don't want to sound silly right so great at get it it's awesome ????????????

I am not able to open web pages directly from app. Sometimes when I open a link in some other app an option will pop-up, but that isn't very usefull.

Slower than trying to wade through treacle. I typed in one word to try it out and was still waiting for the speech over 4 minutes later. It's not as if my internet is bad, 60Mbps, so unless you have hours to waste then avoid!

Hi developer! I have used the app for 4 days and I am writing the review so that you can mod the app into more effective app. The app is very helpful and the best among others but few drawbacks are- When trying to save wav file for Hindi text it's taking long time and even sometime it will only keep loading and the wav file will not be saved. It will be more supportive if in updated version direct MP3 convertion option will be given. It will be more effective if for Hindi reading male voice also will be provided. Overall till now the app is best but looking forward for the options mentioned above in updated versions soon. Have a great day... Keep growing
