About KShred

A simple file shredding app that is mostly designed towards photos and videos. You can also shred entire folders if needed and it will individually shred the files prior to deleting them. Unlike other file shredders that only insert random 1's and 0's into a file, KShred actually encrypts the files prior to shredding them. A random key is generated making it nearly impossible to recover a file once it is shredded. After shredding the file it then deletes it.

To shred files simply locate the file you wish the shred and long select it. A menu will come up prompting you on your action.

This app was tested on a text file containing a unique test string generated by SHA512 hash of current date. Although this App executed successfully, but on switching off the phone, removing the sdcard, inserting the sdcard in sdcard reader and attaching to Windows PC USB Port, the test string was easily found by "Roadkill's Sector Edit v1.4 (for Windows)" when the sdcard was mounted as physical hard disk. This shows, the data is not erased securely.

Only shredded the first few files and then it would apear as if it was working but the files were not removed. Hmmm Isn't this the soul function of this app.
