AllCast Premium

Brilliant and worth the extra 3 quid. Makes streaming faster, easier and more enjoyable. One note i will add is i wish xbox one version had the ability to stream an equalizer/visualisations whilst playing music. Just a blank screen or artwork is boring. Maybe an add-on that i wouldn't mind paying for would be the way forward. Tip top app well done allcast

This app allows you to take movies you have stored on your device or on your network (upnp or dlna media server) and stream them to chromecast so you can watch them on your tv. While doing so you can stop, rewind and fast forward the movie from your tablet/phone. Most important, Playback is extremely fluid. Works very well and I could not be happier

Casting from google play music was working fine, but after i purchased premium i lost audio to the chrome app receiver. I restarted both devices and now the chrome receiver does not show up at all when trying to cast from play music. The allcast app still sees it, but and can cast to it but play music does not. My htc one is rooted. I also tried re-enabling the play music music feature in settings and re-granting the su rights, but it didnt change anything.

It's two weeks since I went premium and alerted support that I cannot cast photographs from the Dropbox module. Cloudcaster works perfectly on my Galaxy SII and Nexus 7 so it is not a device issue. Allegedly the issue has been pushed up to the developer a week ago but no joy. Edited to add that this issue has now been resolved and I am happy to give it four stars

This would be a perfect app if it worked properly. I use this with chromecast and when I attempt to stream videos that I recorded it plays about 5 seconds then stops and it repeats until it eventually force shuts down. But then when I play movies that are downloaded onto my phone they play perfect, sometimes. Other times with movies they start off fine then it force crashes, but once I attempt to play it again it plays just fine. It's OK, if you have the patience.

Of all the casting apps I've tried, this one has the best interface and is the most stable. I just wish I could set it to automatically connect to my Chromecast like I can with Bubble. It's a bit of a silly step to select it every time since it's the only device I have. The play/pause button frequently doesn't play or pause video.

I needed a way to view my new Chromecast that I purchased with extremely little knowledge of the product. Found out I needed a media player. Did a little research and decided I'd try All cast. After around 3 months of watching any and everything my heart desires I'm leaving this review. There IS NO BETTER PLAYER THAN ALLCAST ! Spend the 5 bucks and enjoy a wonderful experience with ur TV

I use this to connect to my chromecast and Roku and it connects and plays videos and pictures fine but it could do with a few little additions. When I send a video and it starts playing on the TV the app doesn't automatically turn into a remote you have to pull the notifications down and click the now playing. And also the pictures you can only click on 1 at a time and then stop it as if it's a video, would be better if it was like the Android gallery app where you can scroll through your full gallery .

Works well for me, no problems at all. I use it to stream from my HTC One to my entertainment system through my old Droid4 hooked to my tv. I was looking for a dlna adapter or mini pc stick to play movies and music when I found this. This is an amazing app! Much better than miracast. I can't thank you enough clockworkmod, if I win the lottery I'll buy you a car or something, you deserve it. 5 stars!

This app is freaking awesome its just you can't seek videos and as stated on other comments it does skips songs every now and then. I hope you fix this problem and get our money worth. Overall love it keep up the good work and more updates please!

I love the concept but the video playback will randomly stop. When it does, the slide bar does not show the increment of time so guessing where you left off sucks. I would include a slide much like YouTube uses when scrolling through the scenes. Otherwise the stopping drives me absolutely insane. It's middle to end of every movie I watch and happens a couple times. I'm using the HTC oneX to two different chromecasts. Good luck everyone...

It kinda works, won't let me fast forward a movie whilst it's playing. If I pause movie it seems to restart. And it likes to keep starting up by itself. But can't access settings until it's connected to a device. And when I'm not at home I obviously can't get that far. Tbh, just stick to free version. Just bypass the ads by opening a different way.

This was a great app I used it every day from my samsung galaxy s4 to my samsung smart tv. But now all i get is a message saying "No media playback in progress". Ive tried uninstalling it and installing again and resetting my phone. But no longer works :( sad face

Please please please include a simple file browser. My music collection was ripped in the days before genre/artist/album tags were commonplace and all my music is identified by directory name/filename. I would be eternally grateful for a very simple directory browser so I can actually figure out what I'm about to listen to!

This app has been great. One of the quickest and straightforward casting apps available. I have a suggestion/request, not sure if others feel this way. The thing I would change on there is to not have allcast connect to chromecast as a first step before you can look at your library. Sometimes I still have something playing on Netflix for example and want to look through my allcast library without switching over yet. Just a simple toggle switch a la Netflix, Hulu, etc would be wonderful. Thanks! **UPDATE** I figured it out and there is in fact a toggle for the splashscreen. Now I can safely say this is the best casting app out there :)

Basic functionality is there but it needs work on the interface. Simple example is being able to sort through your music better or a search or filters or visible album covers... It also crashes occasionally and I have to restart the app to find my Chromecast again.

I was using a pirated version of allcast to see if I liked the app before purchasing. It worked fine with some glitches. I Decided to buy the app and it was more stable. I had issues in the beginning since we have multiple devices (ie nabi/nexus/others) using roku and chromecast. Mainly restarting devices and related apps seem to fix communication between devices. In the end its well worth the price

Up until last week it was working great, but now it doesn't see any of the new video files that I've recently uploaded to Google Drive. It still only sees the same old list. The files appear and stream fine from the Drive app, but don't appear in AllCast at all. Also, would be nice to have a file name view for Google Drive so I can see the names of the video files, not just the thumbnails. Sometimes its hard to distinguish one video from another just based on its thumbnail.

I tried so many others and they didn't work. This works ! The beta setting for xbox would not work for me, I un checked the box and xbox one works fine again. I wish it supported playing contents of folder, opposed to choosing one then when done the next etc. Looping would be nice as well. Overall worth every penny and then some. The guy who said it doesn't work on his xbox one should try settings and un check the beta dlna box. If still issue check for xbox updates , if still no luck try looking at file.

This is what I was looking for from chromecast. I can cast straight from my phone to my samsung tv with very little effort. Edit: I still love this app, but it doesn't show all the thumbnails on my Moto X. I would give it five stars if this was fixed. Edit 03/10/14 My goto app for showing videos and pictures from my phone to my tv no longer works. It will cast to Chromecast, but not directly to my tv. Edit 03/19/14 Everything is working again. Thanks for the fix.

Free version worked fine 5 star hands down on my hudl2 played all videos etc played full movie not 5mins as it states. was well pleased with it , after an update it went pete tong only played 5 mins. but now after buying full version it only plays 5 mins into movie please fix As this is a great app to have

Since your updates, it works great with my Chromecast and my Samsung smart tv. I rather use this app then the TV video cast app, but certain things you're not able to use with Allcast. Guys keep up the good work and then maybe I won't have to use the Chromecast app anymore! ☺

Edit - video streaming no longer works on my s3 just hangs everytime. Once fixed will reinstate 5 star rating. Brilliant way to get round the limitations of the Chrome cast. £3 spent now I can have all my music and personal videos sent to my tv without sending everything to the Google cloud. I haven't come across any bugs etc yet. The music player could do with more options such as pkay lists and shuffle.

I have been using All cast Premium for about 2 yrs. It has always been amazing, giving me great quality. Recently (last 3ish months) it will just quit casting right in the middle of something. This isn't a once or twice issue. It happens EVERY time I try to cast. I can cast Hulu and Netflix no problem, but this app is struggling and needs addressed.

Does what it says, does it well. Stream music and photos to any DLNA device easily. My only gripe is that it seems to really destroy battery life. I know it's always going to suck power, but it can make the phone physically warm and take many hours off your day's capacity. Seems like there's plenty of room for improved power consumption, but I understand this is very early in the app's life!

I've seen some issues when streaming to my roku. I've had this app for about 1 year and I've always loved it and recommended it to my friends, but in the last 2 months it seems like the speed that it streams is pretty slow. The video will appear and buffer, but then it'll only play 2 minutes, at most, before stopping to buffer again. This happens whether it's a 1080p or 360p video. I know this app is great, and if I can fix this I'll change my review to 5-stars. I just want one of my favorite apps back.

This app was working really well. I tried free version at first but had too many ads so I bought premium and it worked for a week and now it has no playback to my roku. I will rate five stars if you fix this if not I would like a refund! I uninstalled the app and the premium and reinstalled and still didn't work then I cleared data and still the same thing. No media playback

Love this app and will edit to 5 stars if I get help. I've used All Cast for 2 years without problems on my Galaxy S phones. But it just sticks on scanning for devices on this mini tablet we've acquired. Help please as I'm a premium customer and this is a top app on my phone and also want it on the tablet instead of a rivals poor app.

The app has some issues, but it is amazing! Best app of it's kind. The developers are constantly working to improve it and make it better for all devices every day. That being said...if you use this for a Chromecast there will be issues half the time. If you use this for a smart TV with a decent-good WiFi signal it will work perfect (I use an LG smart tv) if you use it with a wdtv live it will work 4/5 times. This is hands down my favorite app to have and I really appreciate what the devs do to help us.

I'm not sure why but it will almost never connect. Localcast, YouTube, and Netflix connect instantly but this takes 5 or more tries just to connect it. I am giving it a decent score though since once it does eventually connect it plays smoother than localcast. It hardly ever stops to buffer. But until they get actually connecting to be much more reliable I wouldn't say it's worth it.

Followed what the developer put and still did not work so just reflashed the rom and got it working once more. Also make sure to remove any privacy or settings that could limit permissions for apps. Other than that issue the app is fine glad to see that it'll keep working now thanks CWM!

For a paid app, this just does enough. The options are very limited (for example, I'd prefer the option to change the timer to how-far-played rather than time remaining). An option to resume from last position would be useful also. That said, it's easy to use and works. Mostly good.

Sometimes I'll get an app that leaves a lot to be desired. This app works extremely well. I have a Samsung galaxy 3 phone and an app that downloads many shows (I don't have cable) but with my chromecast, Xbox one, Amazon prime and galaxy tab I can connect to all with no problems. I recommend this app highly.

I really enjoy this app. Has been the only app that successfully lets me cast movies from my network drive. However, not all of video files are visible through the app. It will be organized by letter like "ABC" and no matter how long I allow it to load, only the movies that start with "A" will load. The same with every other letter. This needs to be fixed immediately. I mean, the app works great, but I'm not paying to only be able to watch half of my movies. Please look into this!!!!

Worked ok for me. I casted my home movie collection through my xbone from my Zmax 970. Very clear, no glitches or anything. I haven't tried music yet. Picture slide show is a bit slow but not a real big deal. What's five bucks anyways...cost about as much as a family size bag of Doritos and a soda for 10x the value. Cheers!

Allcast doesn't work. It shows the splash screen and then stops and says "No media playback in progress". The file explorer needs to be improved to allow SD cards to be browsed, a search box to be added and to allow us to display everything as a list.

It worked great when I purchased the premium, I enjoyed it for maybe 3 days and now it doesn't send to my Xbox one anymore, can I get a refund? I emailed yesterday but haven't gotten an answer yet...got the be patient email but it still isn't working what do I need to do its been almost a week now I would say that pretty patient

Interacts well with both Samsung TVS and Apple TV device. Had a friend try to 'screen mirror' video from his IPHONE to the Apple TV device and it was very choppy, had him download 'Allcast' from iTunes and it worked much better. Thanks for this nice app.

Will only play maybe 8 photos in a row before it goes back to the main Apple TV screen. Seems to work slightly better if you just pick a picture at a time instead of doing a slideshow. Needs some work. Hope it gets better in the future!

I have both regular and premium but I'm still being told free trial buy premium yet I've already bought it.
