Robotics - Smart Machines

Second product from kosmos which works for about 5 minutes before the motor stops working properly struggling to walk at the top of the movement cycle. Have the robotic cars too, same thing and the gearbox falls out. Frustrating as I love the concept, but just don't work reliably

I got this robot for christmas and I had so much fun building it downloading and Bluetooth connection were easy the instructions were easy to follow but when I went to drive it the drive motor was to weak but the steering motor was powerful enough to turn when I switched out the motors both were weak I ran a debug process nothing. Thames and kosmos I think that if you are to make your motors more powerful to pull their weight this product could become a leading brand like lego.

It doesn't connect on my son's devise or on mine. We would love to keep robot if it would work. My son's pretty disappointed!

Nice. Can be used as remote control for robot. Some challenges pairing with the robot.

I love to build them. There very fun, but the app wont work on my tablet.

The product was made faulty. Only by taking out the PCB and flipping it over could I see that the socket for the sonar was switched with a motor socket. Fixed this by plugging directly into the circuit board, only to discover that sonar wasn't working anyway. The motors are weak, robot barely moves. Didn't even get as far as programming the thing, but compared to other visual scripting programs it looks like garbage.

My little brother spent his whole afternoon doing it and when we tried to connect it it didn't even work.

This app was very useful for controlling my robot and learning how to program

For Christmas i got the robotics experiment kit with the 8 different robots you can make. For a couple of days i didn't really do anything with it since i was busy with family. However i just opened it and built the Spy Bot and let me tell you, it kicks ass! Im 16 years old and ive been into legos since i was 6. I love building anything, especially mechanical things, so this set was incredible. Works great with the app. The instruction manual was even fun and entertaining. You guys are awesome!

It will not connect to the tablet

My 9yr old son loves this, and has been busy making robots snce he got it. The app is easy to use as a remote control, and the programming mode has the right balance of simplicity for children and power to do stuff. I think we'll be getting him the other set for Christmas! Bluetooth connectivity: just read the instructions!

Cannot pair with my smart machines device. Total junk. Don't buy this kit. As expected they have responded with a canned message. Kosmos obviously thinks it's customers are idiots.

Waste of time. The kit does not respond to the commands.

Waste of my afternoon

This robot operates by use of a smart phone/tablet....so when the app crashes, the robot is of no use. App not working as of this date. Uninstalled/Reinstalled.....Nothing.

Doesn't connect to the car! So we have a robotic car, with batteries and motors, and there's no way to move it. I've tried this on my Galaxy S6, my wife's iPhone 6S plus, and my son's iPad mini 4. No dice anywhere. How disappointing for my son and me, and how just positively shameful for Kosmos to release a completely non-functional product.

Won't connect to Bluetooth on any of our devices.
