코레일과 ICT전문기업인 한국문화관광콘텐츠개발(주)가 업무협약을 체결하고,
관광산업과 지역경제 활성화를 위하여 민관합작 1단계사업인 기차여행 애플리케이션을 완성하였습니다.
본 애플리케이션은 전국 기차역을 중심으로 지역관광 정보들이 연계되어 지역관광홍보 활성화에 역점을 두고 있으며,
앱 핵심기능은 전국노선별 기차역의 상세스토리와 역별기차시간표, 주변여행정보를 볼 수 있는 하나로존, 다국어기능, 나레이션기능, SNS공유기능, 기차역 검색기능, 스탬프체험여행 이벤트,
여행지도와 함께 제공되는 기차여행 추천코스, 특색있는 관광열차소개와 차내시설, 운행시간표, 여행패스 소개, 언제 어디서나 바로 기차표 예매, 기차여행정보와 소중한 순간을 나누는 스토리앨범,
온오프라인 연결고리 QR코드 스캔, 귀여운 기차아이콘이 현위치를 알려주는 위치서비스, 나만의 보물창고 마이페이지 등 여행에 필요한 기능과 정보를 체험할 수 있고,
2단계사업으로 기차타고 떠나는 테마여행, 나만의 여행계획짜기, 문화공연, 지방자치단체와 지역주민들이 참여하여 지역관광과 축제 등 지역자원판매 등을 알릴 수 있도록 개방할 계획입니다.

애플리케이션의 가장 큰 특징은 전국 기차역을 거점으로 지역관광자원이 상호 연계되어 지역의 관광 및 경제 활성화에 역점을 두고 개발되었다는 점이다.

각 기차역 콘텐츠의 하단메뉴에서 볼 수 있는 ‘하나로존’에서는 위치서비스를 기반으로 역 주변의 관광지와 음식·숙박·쇼핑 정보를 제공하여 전국 각 지역의 자원을 동시에 홍보하고 있으며, 특히 ‘추천코스’ 메뉴에서 참여할 수 있는 ‘스탬프체험여행’은 ‘기차역’을 ‘지역관광자원’과 연계한 체험이벤트를 통해 좀 더 현실적인 지역의 관광·경제 활성화를 꾀하고 있다는 점에서 주목된다.
이는 관광열차를 타고 가는 동안 즐길 수 있는 ‘체험여행’ 이벤트로, 해당 역에 정차할 때마다 관련 퀴즈를 풀고 스탬프를 모으면 기념품을 받아갈 수 있도록 하여 기차관광과 지역 관광활성화를 동시에 꾀하고 관광객에게는 특별한 추억과 흥미를 제공한다.

또 더 나아가 ‘스토리앨범’ 메뉴를 통해 개인의 소중한 추억을 간편하게 남기고 공유할 수 있도록 돕고 ‘다시 찾는 관광’을 유도하고 있다. 더불어 기차역별 상세스토리를 통해 학생들에게 철도역사와 지역의 역사·자연자원을 학습할 수 있는 현장체험학습 기회를 제공하여 교육적 활용도를 높이고 있다.

한편, 한국문화관광콘텐츠개발(주)와 코레일은 지난 2월 13일 ‘기차역과 지역관광자원 연계를 통한 창조경제 3.0 실현 및 국내관광 활성화를 위한 업무협약’을 체결한 바 있으며, 양 기관은 2단계 사업으로 ‘기차타고 떠나는 테마여행’, ‘나만의 여행계획 짜기’ 등의 기능을 추가하여 선보일 계획이다. 그밖에도 향후 ‘기차여행’ 앱을 기차역이 있는 해당지방자치단체와 주민들의 참여를 확대하고 각 지역의 문화공연 및 축제 등과 연계하여 지역자원을 알리고 판매할 수 있도록 개방형 애플리케이션으로 운영한다는 방침이다.
