Konsepsi Bermain dan Olahraga

Pengertian pendidikan jasmani dan olahraga secara konseptual terdapat perbedaan, namun demikian para praktisi pendidikan (dosen dan guru pendidikan jasmani) masih belum ada kesamaan pandang dalam melihat kedua hal tersebut. Untuk lebih memahami perbedaan dan persamaan konsep pendidikan jasmani dan olahraga perlu terlebih dahulu memahami konsepsi dasar & play, games, contests, transports. Kegiatan pendidikan jasmani lebih luas dibandingkan kegiatan olahraga, meliputi: play, games, contest, dan sports serta aktivitas lain yang berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan manusia secara keseluruhan.
