Screen Off

Although the long delay is not ideal, I understand the issue. But this is what allows the fingerprint imprint to wake my Nexus 6P. This is exactly what I was looking for. It saves my power button and my battery. The long delay is less noticeable if you choose the blank screen display option.

Took me hours to find an app that turns off the screen without locking it. Works great for the Nexus 6P with the fingerprint scanner to turn it on and this, off. Thanks Konreu.

Why pay for this when it's free from Katecca, "Screen Off and Lock". Does the same for free. I was stupid for paying for this.

Unable to find menu for options but OK as turns screen off without locking.

press the icon and the touch screen immediately locks. return the touch screen with the back arrow key. perfect to prevent unintended dial up.

The best solution I've found to turn the screen off without interfering with Marshmallow security, leaving fingerprint unlock still working.

I use Fingerprint unlock. This allows your phone to lock itself. It does not mess with your settings.

Saves your hardware keys from wear. Purchased because my mtslide's power key died. Works great. Diff icons would be cool.

It works, at last an app that turns screen off without locking the cellphone, leaving the lock behavior to be managed by the OS and preferences defined there. The only thing I don't really like is the fact that it takes some secs to turn the screen off, other than that it works as expected.

Nice as it would be to have instant off from a soft button, the limitations of Android mean that requires a password lock and I want to turn back on with fingerprint sensor. That makes this app as good as it gets for my requirements.

It is nice that this app requires no special permissions & that it only turns the screen off but does not lock the phone. However, when I want turn my screen off I want it to be immediate. I want to turn my screen off and put my phone in my pocket.

Finally a free app that turns off your screen without locking it. Make sure to select blank from the options and it replaces the ugly grey lock screen with the actual off screen.

Screen off, let device lock per settings, zero permissions. All good, except for 10+ seconds to turn off, why?

Having used another screen off app previously, I believe the delay is intended for users to change the setting before the screen goes off completely. I like this app better as it is clean and light. For those feedback complaining about no locking, then use another app. This app is for people who do not want to lock their devices.

Work as advertised!! Solved my annoying May update patch that disabled fingerprint unlock after using nova double tap screen off.

I open this app and a padlock just pops out and does nothing when I click on it...?

Good. Could be better if the screen off delay could be cut down a bit more.

This was great back before Android allowed apps to turn off the screen. Would have been good if dev updated to do this via Device Admin.

I'm from Singapore. It says 99c but the billing charged me USD2.99. A bit confused why.

App is great! If phone is lieing on a desk everything is done from your screen.No searching for top button (Droid).

Needs to turn off back light faster like the on off button.
