Houston Traffic

I used to use this app every day, it gets its map from the Houston Transtar website, so it's as up to date as any traffic reports. But since moving to a new phone, which also has a new version of Android (marshmallow), the map is so big I can't see anything useful. I also noticed that Houston Transtar has implemented some new maps, so I think the app is referencing the wrong map now. I'll have to fall back to bookmarking their website.

Incidents are not updating. Map is OK but the incident tab has not updated for several weeks. Tried to uninstall and reinstall but still no help. Great app when working. OK....update here on review. App working like it should. May have been a glitch, I don't know but it is good now. This app is much easier than going to the Houston Trans tar site.

Is there a way to make the traffic map stay in the last position (or centralized on the screen) after refreshing, on smartphones (small screen on Android app)?  The problem is that it needs to move the map back to the preferred position every time it refreshes, and it's very distracting while driving.  Thank you! 

I understand this isn't the original app this is a copy of the original - but is there anyway possible that we can update the look now? It's still using the design language from Android 2.2 and we have 5.0 around the corner.

This app has saved me Countless hours of driving, only takes seconds to load and shows me all traffic in Houston. It has helped me miss dozens and dozens of accidents normally had a very up to date accident report. The sometimes force closes but never has trouble re opening. I recommend this app to anyone driving in and out of Houston!

Most, if not all, of the cameras for the Southwest Freeway (59 south of downtown) are not labeled correctly in the menu. Not sure if this extends to other freeways, or just that part of 59. Still, when you select a camera, it will tell you which camera you are actually seeing, so it's not completely worthless. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it to see if it helped, but no such luck. This is a very useful app, otherwise. Please fix!

Love this app and use it all the time on my Evo 4G. Just got an Evo 3D and the screen looks funny, it doesn't use all the available screen size and looks small, could be the new screen dimensions on the Evo 3D. Could you please look into this?

It takes too long to get incident updates! You're usually stuck in traffic WAY before the app shows a problem. You're better off listening to the radio traffic reports or watching the news. The only pro is the access to the traffic cameras, although they aren't always working. Houston needs a better app!

New Samsung s7 active.. maps are huge now and it is a struggle to scroll around to find your route

Wow this is the best app i have seen yet. If youve ever been stuck in a traffic jam in houston you would agree!

Conditions are never remotely accurate. 6 months later nothing has changed. Worst traffic app

Awesome app. Life saver but change the description, you're NOT working on updates. You haven't updated since 2009 lol

Very easy to use, especially compared to trying to use the Transtar website on phone's browser! I would like to make a suggestion: make the street traffic map one of the choices. I drive Richmond and Westheimer everyday and would really appreciate this addition. (T-Mobile Samsung Exhibit II)

The incidents from the morning are still showing in the evening. Was a great app but not now

Provides the basic pieces of info from the Transtar site: speed map, list of incidents, cams, travel times. Not fancy - no interactive screens, just pick menus. But it gets the job done and I don't have to launch a browser.

this is a really good application. my only very very small quibble is that it doesn't use a full height of my 800 px phone...

Elegant & simple. Drawbacks are often needs manual refresh & crashes or freezes. Like overall, though.

Great app but please fix full screen I've upgraded to android 2.3.4 on ATRIX 4G

Keeps force closing & unable to view inbound traffic cam on 45. But definitely has come in handy in incident reporting.

Extremely useful and a must for any houstonian. U guys know how horrible and random traffic gets. Get this app!

Awesome. Considering I rise a motorcycle in Houston this helps me avoid the trouble spots. App of the year! :-)

Outstanding app...got an email news alert about flipped over truck on I10, opened app went 2 look @ cams & sure enough u could see truck. Awesome app

Nice app, good work, however it crashes when changing orientation in incidents and highway modes. Verified on HTC EVO and Samsung Moment.

Didn't realize how good this app was until I saw the Dallas version... ugh!! But Dallas sucks anyway.

This app is a must have for any houston driver tired of being stuck in traffic

I use this app every weekday to help me find the best way to and from work due to my ridiculously long commute. It really helps!

This app would be so much better if we could update our traffic experience. The color coding is always a step behind, and I've been at a total standstill for an hour now while no incident has been posted.

This app hasn't been updated in years. It shows old and often incorrect information. You can't rely on it, period. I45N can be shut down for hours and it will show nothing. 288N from Pearland is "green" at 6 AM Thursday. I'll take it and I10 instead of BW8 and save on tolls - a big mistake. 10 minutes later, 288 is a parking lot and there are no accidents. Under the incidents tab, the data is updated and the display is reset to the top of the data before you can finish reading it.

I understand needing my location but my pics and media files? No thanks.

My only suggestion is to have a full map which we can scroll around with instead of the smaller "area" maps.

I'd like that when it refreshes, it'd keep the view in the same spot, instead of going back to the corner. Still, very useful.

A must have app for Houstonians! Would love to have all HCTRA cams & not just TxDOT cameras.

Was just there for business for 4 days...wish i had this when I was stuck on the 610 thinking the Beltway 8 would be faster. Well done!

Works great. As someone else said. Houston traffic sucks. This makes it suck less...

Good app but almost All traffic cam pis are months old .not good when you drive around Houston TX all day 5 days a week

I use this app every day. Incredibly useful for checking traffic when you don't need directions.
